    Sony KDL 32L4000

Seen some old threads on this TV. Heard of problems with both the t-con board and the panel itself due to shotty tabs connecting to panels. Most seem to be fixed by either replacing t-con board or a temporary fix by pushing down tabs with some sort of insulation causing better bond. My lcd did not respond to tabs being pushed down.

Other difference between most pictures and videos I have seen on this LCD is that only the bottom 3/4 of my screen has the vertical lines and ghost images.

Could it be t-con, main board, or do you think it is the panel. If consensus is that the panel is bad I don't want to waste any money on trying a new board that will do nothing. Thanks.

It's a bad panel, it looks like a tab bond issue to me though.

okay, so even though pressure on tabs does nothing, its still tab connection, huh. that sucks. Is there any way to fix that with heat gun, or anything else?

Should the power supply, mainboard, inverter, and tcon boards still be good to try and get rid of on ebay?

When I went to try and fix a 40" it was very sensitive as to the exact angle and pressure, otherwise it would not work.

Sony 8K XBR-75Z8H White Screen Vertical Bars Tcon Code. Help Needed🙏
              by Daren87
              Hello everyone,

I've recently been given a Sony 8k Z8H. It's got a white screen with two vertical black bars. At times it's given me the 5 blink Tcon code. Testing voltage on the Tcon I can see some low or missing voltage. I've done a basic visual check of cables and the COF. Not seeing anything obvious. The original Tcon seemed to have good caps until turning it over. On the bottom I found maybe 10 caps with both sides of the caps shorting to ground. I thought ok these caps and likely other components on the Tcon are shorted so let's try a replacement Tcon. I just received the...

              Sony KD-55X9000F TCON Issue
              by thelankanguy
The TV shows a black screen with no image.
TCON ribbon connectors were disconnected individually for image and there was no half image even.
Later both ribbons were disconnected and TCON voltages were tested.
12V, 3.3V, 1.8V were seen present but VONE signal reads 0V.
There is also a short to ground in this circled inductor.
Is this a TCON issue or something else ?...

              Sony KD-55AG9 TCON?
              by bbrain
              Hi,

I have this problem with my Sony 55' AG9.
              It flashes 4x.
I have found the service manual, and seems it is the TCON.

Before I buy a TCON can someone check the vid?

              Thanks in advance!...

Sony KD-65x8500b - bad Tcon or panel?
              by rimwall
Hi, hoping for some views on this one which I've not come across before. The TV generates an image that has 12 noticeable bands across it. The image is still there and accurate, but the colour (or perhaps the brightness) changes gradually across each band which creates a noticeable 'step change' at the edge of each band. Given it's a 4K TV with 2160 rows of pixels, I'm guessing the 12 bands correspond to 12 gate drivers of 180 rows each. If this guess is right, then perhaps:
              a) all the gate drivers are malfunctioning the same way (which seems unlikely), or
              b) the Tcon board is malfunctioning,...

TCL 50S535 bad tcon or panel issue?
              by x_orange90_x
Just bought this for 10 bucks yesterday hoping to fix it. The guy said water dropped inside from a dehumidifier hose and it started showing black and white vertical bars then went blank. When I got it home and turned it on it came on fine and displayed correctly but I was noticing faint vertical bars in the image. After a little bit I turned it off and back on and it was a black screen again. I opened it up to check for water damage and corrosion but didn't find anything of the sort. I cleaned the ribbons anyway and reconnected them but still got a blank screen. If I disconnect the right side...
