I have had no problem with it even on the old laptop.
I like the tilt function and spent some time labeling all the locations I've lived.

            Re: Google Earth

Yup - I tried the Linux version, and it works flawlessly on Fedora Core 3 & 4. However, it needs accelerated OpenGL drivers for best results with 3D accelerators like NVidia/ATI cards. Also, it's packaged as a compressed self-extracting script, rather than as an RPM or similar, which would have been more useful for uninstalling or upgrading.

All in all, it's an outstanding beta product - well worth the try. One more reason to use Windoze has vanished.

I've been deeply studying the cover of Maxim, as seen from space.
It's out in the desert of course near Vegas.
Wait for her to come in focus and zoom way in, any idea how this was done?

I zoomed into Front street in Hamilton BM and saw a question mark on the ocean liner parked there. Someone had asked what ship it was and got a reply from a couple of people, that's very powerful.

It is a nice place indeed....

I think that the high resolution area on Google maps is a suburb called Point Piper.... Thats what the map tells me but.... I could be wrong though.

I wish I could live out at Point Piper but i'd have to be a millionaire to do so.
The views out there are wonderful (If you live next to the ocean that is).... The houses etc. are also expensive out there....

I'm from the south western areas of Sydney, but luckilly I live on a hill so I can just see the Sydney city skyline from my room. But it is no where as good as living right next to the beach....
