Re: "Pop"
Since you said something about an Antec, I'll give a good guess it's this:

"Antec eartwatts 380, 8GB crucial ddr4, i3 6100, asus dvd burner, 850 Pro 512GB. Win 7 home prem. " As for mobo, your first post says MSI B150 Pro.

Re: "Pop"
PSU would be my guess.... Caps and transistors like to pop.
Motherboards can pop for sure....but the PSU is always suspect # 1.Leave a comment:

What do you think people? I honestly don't remember what I built. It was like, four years ago? I know it was new, and I know I don't skimp on power supply for new builds. I think it was a Antec earthwatts? I have no many newegg emails I can't put it as when I bought it
Your guess is as good as mineTags: None

by CapLeakerGot something new. Recently I got trouble with receiving emails and syncing OneNote. Nothing else. I still can stream 24x7, VOIP, have full speed internet, but in the world cannot receive any emails nor sync OneNote. Take the computer somewhere else to a different internet location and no problems at all.
Points to the router, right? NOPE!
Hooked up my computer directly to the modem (which is in bridge mode) and have the same problems!
Put all the network shit back together, start my VPN provider app, choose the closed VPN server to me and all the problems are gone!

by sirpsycholWhile recaping Antec Earthwatts EA-380 I've broke one side of unknown smd element, it have no print, it's flatter and darker than smd capacitors on this board, shaped more like resistor but it's not resistor ofc. Unfortunetly the printed description was under it and element was glued to the board so I cant read/tell the letter before element number too. Have anyone any idea what it is? Maybe is there any diagram of this PSU?

by TopcatNo vintage pentium classic era collection is complete without a Pentium Pro system, well this thread is a 2-fer build....
Both builds are keeping true to my form, they are nothing less than dual CPU's. I picked up motherboard one (Intel PR440FX) from a local junk pile. This find was completely inadvertent....I wasn't even remotely looking for anything like this, it just happen to be there...'new old stock', and untested. I bought a pair of 200MHz 512k CPU's & 512mb parity/buffered ECC EDO DIMM's to test it....the board was good...but there was a problem.... A VRM was needed in...-

Hi everyone,
I’m working on a Lenovo ThinkPad P15 Gen 1 (Machine Type 20ST-004DUS), and recently replaced the motherboard (planar).
I successfully booted into the Golden Key U1 Tool (v3.5.78), and it launches ThinkPad Maintenance Utilities v1.20(x64) — but my version appears to be missing the full Set System Identification menu (it only shows Add/Read/Delete S/N options).
Here’s what I’ve already done:- The EEPROM has been initialized successfully
- The U1 tool loads and detects the ThinkPad fine
- The current MTM/SN/UUID fields are blank
- When trying to enter

by grave_diggaHi there. My name is Markus and this is my very first post here, so don't be to harsh on me. 😉
I own a Minisforum MC560 that worked just fine. Some days ago something in the device gone nuclear and produced magic smoke. Here is a picture of the situation:
Ignore the time stamp on the picture, i reseted my microscope a few days ago. Q32 is shorted and got so burned that it got really crusty. This is how it looks after a little cleanup. Q31 is an 8031 and it is just fine, i'll replace it anyway with a new one. The problem is Q32. I don't know what component...07-28-2025, 10:25 AM - Loading...
