Re: Oh yay, another driver issue.

Confirmed. It is the network cable.
All but two of the wires have a resistance above 1000 ohms. It's not enough to make the system and switch think there is nothing connected but it was enough that whatever passed through the lines never made it from point A to point B.
Looks like It's finally time to invest in a spool of decent cable and a connector kit. I'm running at least a half dozen different types and brands of network cable as it is and the mice have done a number on all of them so there's splices all over the place.

Mice? You GONNA have to find all the openings and repair them. And keep food sources away. I have this same issues at my tv shop, once in awhile when first frost hits. I kill-trap them with snap traps. Usually every 2 years or so.

Be careful with droppings and urine. Yes, spool of cable and plugs, GOOD tool to crimp/cut and prep with.

        Cheers, Wizard

only rodents in my house are my pet rats. most of my lan cables die when the plug clips break.

          glad that was the problem.

No, the mice problem was two years ago, otherwise I would of been a bit more concerned.
Lol, a good majority of my clips came off years ago and the cables are now held in place by tape.

MacBook Air A2337 (820-02016) USB-C Port Issue – Only Works in One Orientation (CC Line Problem?)
                by rounin
                Hi everyone,

I'm working on a MacBook Air 2020 (A2337, board 820-02016) and running into a strange USB-C issue. I've gone through quite a bit of testing and part replacement, but I'm stuck — hoping someone here can shed some light.

                🛠 Original Issue
                The machine initially wouldn't negotiate 20V over USB-C — stuck at 5V.
Diagnosis showed PP1V5_UPC0_LDO_CORE shorted to ground.

I replaced U3100 (UF400) using a donor board (A2179), and the machine powers on fine now.

⚠️ New Problem: One USB-C Port Only Works in One Orientation...

Three 820-01700 32GB Logic Boards Same Issue: Won't Wake From Hibernate
                by ugamazing
I have three identical-spec 820-01700 boards (2.6/32/512), and ALL THREE boards came to us with the same fault, from different sources: The boards don't wake from hibernation with the keyboard or lid, they ONLY wake when you press the power button. I understand this is a very minor issue, but the boards must be fixed!

We will of course begin with the obvious (checking lid signals), but I couldn't help but notice these three boards were all 32GB variants. Has anyone noticed an issue relating to these 32GB boards in particular? I of course don't think it's a RAM issue, but it's bizarre...

Vizio E55-F1 dark backlight zones. LED failure or Dimming Zone Driver?
                by howardc64
                Problem

Fixing a dimming zone TV with LEDs not lighting up. Dimming zone circuit introduces added variable to diagnose LED and/or Dimming Zone Driver board? Some 1/2 rows of LEDs appears to be out in active dimming zone off AND some brightness flickering with active dimming zone high while playing changing video

                Model & Board Pics

                Conflicting Spec

Vizio indicate this TV has 10 dimming zones. However, LED strips and Zoned light driver connector suggest 12
