simple win network with optimization issue I like to ask some question about configuring simple room win network. So, there is 2 win computer, android4 device and wifi router not connected to internet. The purpose is storage space and manipulation with large files between any device. 1 pc - 192.168.0.2 (winxp sp2) wired to router port#1 2 pc - 192.168.0.5 (win10, enabled smb1.1) wired to router port#2 3 router - 192.168.0.1 with dhcp for wifi (192.168.0.101...) 4 main tablet - 192.168.0.101 (android4) wified to router wifi port I generally work and control transfer with my tablet via ES3 file manager. First problem is that it cant connect at first time to win10 pc, even if it work yesterday with it. I must soft restart win10 in order to connect... once done, it connect normally till next powerdown. I like to know if I can do anything about that? The seccond main problem is file transfer speed over LAN, in most case from win to tablet and inverse, or from win10 to winxp (controlling transfer from wifi tablet). The speed is low as much as 250kb/s (generaly unaceptable) to about 1MB/s in some cases and max 1.7MB/s My intention is to this sistem work a slightly faster (I'll be glad with 5MB/s) and with same speed in between any device. All device are capable to work with much faster transfers speed.

So, on first issue... I swap the port on router, but with winxp no problem, and in win10 problem persist... it is not safe to say "after restart working", but after some or few restart start working. Cables are new, unused, not moving in any way while testing, the leds on rj45 blinking, but it is not ok, not reliable. I took two fotos, first while not working (no network access), and second while working(no internet access), in the middle it is only few restat action, nothing changed or moved. I think that is some win10 "feature" bringing on surface, not router problem. Anyone know how to disable internet but stay running LAN in win10? -
In past few days I can not anymore connect to it, even if I restart, change cable, port... win10 can not detect router nor can connect to its ip address 192.168.0.1 through directly connected ethrnet cable, but report ok ipconfig... ... ... in the same time, router is accesible with wifi and its ip is ok set... If I unplug LAN and connect same cable on winxp it all work flawlessly at first place. I dont know how to call that win10 feature... progress? Ultimate security? For me, it is stupid to complicate things that were before work... anyway, I dont know "where to magic click" future, so if someone have some sugestion idea, I listen...Comment

To see this text more clearly, look first white attachment... (thanks badapps.net for continuous upgrading...) To do feedback to myself, maybe will be helpfull or interesting to someone... I found problem regardless connectivity and tested it to confirm... I isolate setup, only win10 machine directly connected with cable to router. Parallely with this topic, I was tested different graphics card on the same machine, not bringing just any focus of imagination to will be interference with wired ethernet network... But, it is. Graphics card cause to this particular win10 to see or not to see router! Are you belive that?!? When I use geforce en6600le, the network is identificated as private, and can connect to router where is listed as network infrastructure... When insert radeon hd2600pro, win10 no see router anymore, and shown weird connection diagram and much more weird explanation. The machine is identified as connected to public network as unidentified network with unknown ip address, and description clearly say there can not be any data transport (who wrote such explanation and what is to mean?)... but, it is connected... connected to what?!? It know if I unplug cable, then say not connected... The troubleshoting proccess was started in state of not working network (hd2600), and when I flipped again to geforce, win10 was prompt regular first option to start network. I realise that it was issue, but can not explain whats going on. Both graphics card is correct, and the router is ok. The next step of my troubleshooting principle proccess is (before searching solution, or loose a trace of error) is to know at myself purposely generate the same result condition on known good devices. What I can do to setup working network to look like this? I dont know, and I stop here... So, I still looking for some win guru to lead me to understanding and finding solution... I am curious...Comment
