    HP technical support

can i just vent my frustrations about HP

want technicians to come and service laserjets
wait 10 mins speak to operator, get case numbers
get transferred to technician, wait 10mins, get cut off
call again wait 10mins, speak to operator, give case numbers get transferred to technician wait 10 mins for technician, give case numbers, no i am not mrs gonzales, get cut off

    grrrrr

i wish we had third party support like other countries, we are out of warranty so have to pay anyway.

at least we dont have to speak to india call center though, they did not learn greek yet heh

    I play HP lotto.

I learned quickly that if you find yourself talking to a dumb blonde on the other end, it pays dividends to just hang up and dial again.

Invariably, the second time you get lucky and snag a brunette!

lol there were only guys there today. anyway it turns out i have to install some maintenance packs and then if the problem is still there, then they will come and fix it. someone should setup an unauthorised service centre here heh. there is probably shitloads of out of warranty HP office equipment to service in Greece.

trying a london based supplier for the parts. they say delivery 1 week (got online ordering system so i can see status of quotation etc, nice fast comms also), last time from local supplier it was over 1 month although for toner and other parts can have it tomorrow. they just seem to choke on any enterprise equipment order for cisco or hp parts.

for photocopy and fax we are dealing with a small panasonic shop and service center. only 4 people there, been using them for 20 years.

I have to say that so far HP has been good to me. I bought a 1250 inkjet. It was under a warranty. What the seller didn't say is that it was a refurb warranty. (bastard....if I find him, iwould cut off his balls, but i don't think he has any ) Anyway, it wasn't printing correctly. The seller was as worthless as tits on a nun so I called HP. After about 30 minutes of TSing, he said to send it in. Cost me like $10 for shipping. I got back a refurb and two new carts for it. I was pretty happy. Took about a week turnaround. This is my second HP printer I've owned, but I've worked with hundreds and have been pretty happy.

I have a HP Laserjet 4P printer, going on 12 years old.... I replaced the toner in 2001, still goin strong today. I can't speak on their tech support, but I can't bitch about this printer. Their PC's are certainly less than desireable though.... I've gutted many, and recapped many more...........
