    Link to EMSI Software

Their free version is a comprehensive process explorer for both visible and hidden processes. Note the section for Tricky Startups.

This software leaves behind a running process after it exits.
Uninstall after you are done with it.

My E2180 is OC'ed to 2.9 Ghz. (363x8.0) (on an Asus P5QL Pro, in the sig)

But my system, when not at the default multiplier and RAM-to-FSB ratio, the majority of apps report 3.6 Ghz! LOL!

So far, CPU-Z is the only app that's confirmed to report the right processor frequency.

That happens a lot. It's not just the Asus. My Biostar boards do it too. I think they just look at the maximum multiplier and multiply it by the current FSB.

Dood, you make any progress yet? Get the board yet?

Haven't ordered anything yet. I'm going to have to get the mobo, a new PSU, and new RAM to make the change. It all adds up to about $180, so I'm going to sit on that for a bit and see what happens with my bills this month.

HP PRODESK 600 G2 DESKTOP MINI starting, no picture, fan only spinning faster and faster
            by Joho
Hi there, I've got a HP Prodesk 600 G2 Mini on my bench, that turns on but no picture.

Model: HP ProDesk 600 G2 Desktop Mini
            Product No: Y3J22EC#ABD
            BID=15WWP3ET6**#SABD#DABD

            Serial: CZC632BBCJ

First I thought maybe BIOS got corrupted. Someone sent my corrected BIOS that I flashed. Now symptoms are: Mini starts when power is plugged in, Fan turns on and gets faster and faster until it's at 100%. Nothing gets excessibly hot.
When I desolder the BIOS chip I get Beep codes / LED codes "BIOS is missing"
            Without CPU I get "CPU...

            MX-Linux 19.1 - Freaking Fast!
            by bigbeark
Finally got around to loading this OS to a couple of old boxes.

First, an ASUS P5GV-MX with a 3.2G 32-bit Prescott HT CPU and 4 sticks of 512MB OCZ Dual Channel PC3200 Ram, using the Onboard Intel graphics. Board uses Intel 915 chipset.

Boots and loads really fast, about twice as fast as Linux Mint. Video performance much improved, no stutter. This is on a 24 inch monitor at full resolution, but the youtube window size is smaller.

Threw a couple of messages on startup "microcode 7" went by so fast I couldn't take it in.

            Second a Tyan...

Sharp (Hisense) LC-55p6050u - Flashing/dimming row of pixels
            by DrvLikHell
Hello again! I have come back for some wisdom and hopefully for some guidance with this problem I'm having. The TV is a 4k 55" Sharp LC-55p6050u and the problem is every other line of the bottom 32 lines flickers out, comes mostly back, then flickers out again, and repeats this continually. The lines on the bottom right of the screen go out completely while the lines on the bottom left are affected so slightly that it's almost impossible to see it. There is a gradual gradient from appearing almost perfectly fine on the bottom left, to an obvious problem on the bottom right.

            The...
