Re: key logging
Why wouldn't it affect other computers with Conexant audio chips? Was the file containing the keylogger customized for HP?
At least Windows has a generic driver for HD Audio devices. It even sounds better than the Conexant driver that was installed on my laptop.Last edited by lti; 05-13-2017, 07:44 PM.

Close. You know those "hp" printer "drivers" that are ~500+ MB? Sure, the actual driver's in there, but what about the ~480MB of other stuff?

Re: key logging
The Conexant audio driver for my Toshiba laptop is 59.4MB. I remember the MaxxAudio "enhancement" software being two-thirds of that. That isn't as bloated as HP printer drivers, but it is unnecessarily large for an audio driver. The driver for the ESS ES1869 in my K6-2 system is less than 2MB, includes an "enhancement," and sounds better than anything from Conexant I've used.
