Recommendations for a 22-24" LCD IPS monitor

What would people recommend for a new 22-24" LCD IPS monitor?

My Samsung 226BW is acting up again, the backlight changes from bright to dim once in a while. It was recapped last year and I guess a CCFL tube is going. Kinda tired of repairing it. I've had many CRT monitors outlast this thing.

LG does not have schematics for a lot of their stuff, so I'm not warm there.
    Dell, ASUS, BenQ...

    Just looking for suggestions.

I picked up a 226BW sometime last year and recapped it to get it working.

I love its colors and screen. It is definitely my favourite monitor that I have repaired.

Your problem with the ccfl could just be a potentially simple re-solder the ends fix?

I love the 226BW too, it has a better pic than the newer LED Dell's at work, but it is annoying. When I saw the inverter IC heatsink is deliberately installed in the wrong place, I knew Samsung is all about the 2-3 year lifespan.
It is still intermittent an I will run it until it stays failed, and then troubleshoot.

Some of the 24" HP monitors are Samsung made so don't rule them out, either.

Are you using it for gaming or professional or both?

Fingers crossed, my 226BW is still working, no recap?

Dell monitor PSU vs Dell laptop PSU
            by keepread
            Hi there!
Someone gave me their old monitor, it's Dell S2715ht.
The owner was using it when his PSU began to smell and then to smoke. It literally began to melt. He turned the monitor off, pulled the PSU, and ditched it because it was smelly even after it cooled. So I got the monitor but not the plug.
Now, I tried to bring the monitor back to life, by plugging one of my many Dell laptop PSUs. They are of the same 19.5V, and the wattage of the laptop PSU is higher than that which the monitor is rated for. Visually, the socket on the monitor seems compatible, and the plug plugs...

            AOC AG493UCX 49-inch monitor - Firmware request
            by wattage
            Hello Badcaps Community,

I purchased a preowned AOC monitor that is not working and out of warranty. It was sold as not working. I am looking for guidance on self-repair. In particular, I am after the firmware for the monitor. At the end, I have included monitor model information and links to pics and vids of the issue.

The problem is that it will not display a picture on any of its inputs. And the on-screen menu does not appear. The power button works properly. It powers on with the remote as well. But the on-screen menu does not appear, even when not connected to any...

HP 27es - LED monitor - Monitor Flashing On - Off

            Hi Everyone

Lately I am experiencing the deja-vu incident on one of the led monitor like this.
            https://www.badcaps.net/forum/troubl...lashing-on-off

The monitor is HP 27es LED Monitor
            https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Deskto...e/td-p/6804692

The monitor will randomly blackout and display no signal and will recover again.
Sometimes need to power and off again to restore the display but...

LG 23MP55HQ LED Monitor turns off after a few seconds or flickers.
            by Rick_1234
            Good evening, gentlemen.

I have a problem with my monitor. It turns off after a few seconds or flickers. Shining a flashlight on the screen doesn't show any image, so I guess it's not the "2 seconds to dark" I read in the forum.

To turn it back on, I have to press the power button twice. Then after a few seconds it turns off again or flickers. See video.

Wise Wing F199 19'' LCD monitor - recapped
            by momaka
Looking through my repair pictures and notes, it's been a long time since I posted anything in the LCD monitors section. So here goes that.

I'm dedicating this thread to one of the very first LCD monitors I repaired (if not the first one), which was more than 10 years ago now. The monitor is a Wise Wing, model F199. It's a 19” CFL-backlit LCD. I got it for free off of Craigslist in 2009 from a guy, who said he bought it for cheap from Wallmart and the monitor worked only for a little less than 2 years before quitting.

When I saw the Craigslist post, I wasn't...
