Earn a Life Experience Degree.... Yeah RIGHT!

People like this PISS ME OFF to no end. N.B. My alias here is "Jon Woo".

So, I got a spam email saying "Earn an Accredited Degree Recognized by US Dept of State".

Upon their website, I found an option for "PhD" in "Aerospace Engineering". So, I selected it. I filled out my "resume":

I've built a lot of paper planes in the past. I've also once managed to build an Airfix model kit so I know a lot about how aircraft work. I've also flown on a Boeing 737 so I know how it feels and all. I think I'd know how to engineer a proper aircraft.
And, despite this, I received an email:
"Congratulations Jonathon T Wooachim, your application has been approved by Fortjones University"

We are pleased to announce that based on your academic qualifications, resume submitted by yourself, and your profile scores calculated using the CPAAS® profile evaluation system, the evaluation committee at Fortjones University has finally approved you for PhD Degree. You are among the 5% of candidates who qualified under the CPAAS® profile evaluation system.

CPAAS® is globally renowned and patented evaluation system that performs detailed analysis of your resume, online profile, past accomplishments, and professional and educational background through proprietary global libraries and databases.
CPAAS works REALLY well then. Bear in mind, try Googling CPAAS system. You'll find nothing on it. It looks to be a made-up name. Wonder what, if any the patents on it are.

Since I was approved via this system, the product they are selling (PhD documents) aren't worth the paper they are printed on. They aren't going to fool any employer, they are just going to scam a prospective employee. (Some would argue that whoever follows through with this deserves to be scammed... you may have a point, but you get a lot of desperate people in this world. This online program is scamming needy people, who feel they need a useless piece of paper to make up for lack of experience.)

To clear a few things up I had to have a live chat with the operator of this blatant scam.

Two declined credit cards and now I get to do a western union bait-n-switch. This is funny! Scambaiting is something I recommend anyone try if they wish to waste as much time as possible for these scammers and it really makes you feel satisfied that you've messed with them. Just try to remain anonymous.

I initially tried to make it somewhat believable but I've given up now, seems they'll believe anyone is a real customer.

It's much more fun to pick names of famous movie directors or stars, change one character and try again. Sub characters of mine include Ron Weasley and Harry Potter.

You must have a sad, sad boring life if you hate on people harmlessly enjoying life with an animal costume.

Sometimes you need to break shit to fix it.... Thats why my lawnmower doesn't have a deadman switch or engine brake anymore

I've built and flown a custom model aircraft (not a kit, bought the parts and put it together.) Flying wing. Worked really well. I need to fly it more often. Cost about £150.*But I wouldn't have the slightest clue about actual aeronautical engineering
