Earn a Life Experience Degree.... Yeah RIGHT!

People like this PISS ME OFF to no end. N.B. My alias here is "Jon Woo".

So, I got a spam email saying "Earn an Accredited Degree Recognized by US Dept of State".

Upon their website, I found an option for "PhD" in "Aerospace Engineering". So, I selected it. I filled out my "resume":

I've built a lot of paper planes in the past. I've also once managed to build an Airfix model kit so I know a lot about how aircraft work. I've also flown on a Boeing 737 so I know how it feels and all. I think I'd know how to engineer a proper aircraft.
And, despite this, I received an email:
"Congratulations Jonathon T Wooachim, your application has been approved by Fortjones University"

We are pleased to announce that based on your academic qualifications, resume submitted by yourself, and your profile scores calculated using the CPAAS® profile evaluation system, the evaluation committee at Fortjones University has finally approved you for PhD Degree. You are among the 5% of candidates who qualified under the CPAAS® profile evaluation system.

CPAAS® is globally renowned and patented evaluation system that performs detailed analysis of your resume, online profile, past accomplishments, and professional and educational background through proprietary global libraries and databases.
CPAAS works REALLY well then. Bear in mind, try Googling CPAAS system. You'll find nothing on it. It looks to be a made-up name. Wonder what, if any the patents on it are.

Since I was approved via this system, the product they are selling (PhD documents) aren't worth the paper they are printed on. They aren't going to fool any employer, they are just going to scam a prospective employee. (Some would argue that whoever follows through with this deserves to be scammed... you may have a point, but you get a lot of desperate people in this world. This online program is scamming needy people, who feel they need a useless piece of paper to make up for lack of experience.)

To clear a few things up I had to have a live chat with the operator of this blatant scam.

    Jon Woo: hello
    jwalker: Hi
Jon Woo: I would like to know if i can apply for ddegree
    Jon Woo: in aerospace engineering
jwalker: How may i help you jon ?
    jwalker: Ok
    jwalker: Got it
Jon Woo: what experience do you require
    jwalker: 4 -6 years
    Jon Woo: employeement?
jwalker: No it means life and working experience
    Jon Woo: OK!! Well..
jwalker: PhD Degree : Aerospace Engineering
Jon Woo: I have flown on a lot of aircraft, can I put that down?
    jwalker: yes you can
Jon Woo: Like Boeing 737 and Airbus.
jwalker: Now provide me your mailing address ?
Jon Woo: And I've built some kits? Like you know Airfix kits?
    Jon Woo: My mailing address
jwalker: yes your shipping address on which you would like to receive the documents?
Jon Woo: 1005 White Park Dr, nogales, airzona 85621, USA
jwalker: Rest of the infromation send me on my email at 'xxxx@fortjonesuniversity.com'
    jwalker: ok
Jon Woo: I was just testing out the form for now, I need to gather all details first.
Jon Woo: I want to know, what other experience you require.
jwalker: So tell me how would you like to pay your fee ? Using a VISA/ Master Card ?
Jon Woo: I have a VISA
Jon Woo: But before I buy, i need to know.
jwalker: We just require your experience and for that you can send us your details at my email later
jwalker: Tell me how many years of experience do you have ?
Jon Woo: I have about 4 years of building models, but I've flown since age 7 to see my grandparents (in spain)
jwalker: Great then your good to go
Jon Woo: Really that all i need? I mean aerospace engineering it's pretty simple then?
jwalker: Your working experience is acceptable
    jwalker: Yes that is correct
    Jon Woo: Great!

I'm going to try and waste as much time as possible for these guys.

Two declined credit cards and now I get to do a western union bait-n-switch. This is funny! Scambaiting is something I recommend anyone try if they wish to waste as much time as possible for these scammers and it really makes you feel satisfied that you've messed with them. Just try to remain anonymous.

I initially tried to make it somewhat believable but I've given up now, seems they'll believe anyone is a real customer.

It's much more fun to pick names of famous movie directors or stars, change one character and try again. Sub characters of mine include Ron Weasley and Harry Potter.

You must have a sad, sad boring life if you hate on people harmlessly enjoying life with an animal costume.

Sometimes you need to break shit to fix it.... Thats why my lawnmower doesn't have a deadman switch or engine brake anymore

I've built and flown a custom model aircraft (not a kit, bought the parts and put it together.) Flying wing. Worked really well. I need to fly it more often. Cost about £150.*But I wouldn't have the slightest clue about actual aeronautical engineering

My friend has a evga rtx 2080 super, and with liquid cool backplate. I installed for him. 4 month ago it runs good, and recently idk if he played with msi afterburner or not, the gpu slow it's core frequency when it's over 60 degree. I reset setting in msi afterburner, still the same.

here is a video of it running stress test, the usage is always 100% for sure, but core frenquency drop to 300mhz (should be over 1600mhz normally), when it hit 60 degree.

Anyone have experience with an RC driven temporary "ON" transistor switch?
                          by EasyG0ing1
                          Hello,

The idea is to use a transistor to activate a latching relay once a voltage is applied but to prevent a constant voltage from being applied to the relay coil, I thought it might be a good idea if it were possible to make sure that the voltage applied to the coil is temporary even though the source voltage could be "ON" for long periods of time.

This is the circuit that I came up with. I have not tested it yet because I don't have the relay yet, though I am looking for anyone who might have experience with this kind of a setup to hopefully offer some advice,...
