USB kicks in, but won't appear?

I have a 16GB USB memory stick which i can hear it kick in when i plug it in but doesnt show up on Computer, i see it in Disk Management under 'Removable (G: )' but it says 'No Media'.

Under 'Properties' it says 'This device is workin properly' but under 'Capacity, Unallocated space, & Reserved space' it says 0 MB, is this USB just really empty and useless or can it be solved to use?

and yes i tried updating driver and it says the driver's up to date.

Probably the drive is dead. Try formatting it and try it out in another machine to make sure.
    Guns don't solve problems. I'll take 12

Try it with a Linux system (a livecd will work fine), press Ctrl+Alt+F1 then Alt+PrintScreen+9, then plug it in and see that happens.

Have had the issue many times. Usually happens when ive tried to transfer some odball linux installer to usbdrive. Solution is to do as cheapie said, use a gparted live disk or similar and repartition it and windows will find it again.

That's not what I said... it's probably a good idea though.

Sorry for missreading what you wrote so badly. I probably read linux and then filled in the blanks myself

                Pioneer VSX-44 receiver HDMI dropouts
                by RatherLoopy
I have an older Pioneer receiver (VSX-44) that's been dropping the HDMI output (black screen) for a few seconds every few minutes. Setup is HTPC -> Pioneer DVD HCMI in -> Pioneer HDMI out -> Samsung TV HDMI in, all with cheap HDMI cables that have never caused trouble before..

I initially found a lot of play in the receiver's HDMI inputs and output so I kind of squeezed them back into shape and they're making a tighter connection, but the problem persists.

And also, often, the HDMI will drop out in exactly the same way (black screen) just as my central air...

                Panasonic PF50G20S blinking 13 times
                by CoinCoin88
                Hello there,

Google led me again to badcaps when trying to troubleshoot a dying Plasma that is sitting at my uncle's roughly 550 km from where I am. It's an old G20 from 2010 or so, that isn't being actively used so you can consider the panel "not too sollicitated".

Symptoms: TV starts, works for 5-10 minutes, then screen turns black and safety kicks in and spits a 13-blink code with the red LED. Once this code kicks in, the TV will not display any image anymore. Unplug it for a few minutes, plug it again, it'll work then fail a few minutes later.

iPad Pro 12.9 5th Gen Backlight Issue
                by cheebster
Hello, got an iPad Pro A2378 12.9 5th gen with no backlight. Got another test unit without screen, tested the screen, still no backlight with the test unit.
Figured out the backlight on the screen was bad, ordred a new backlight from mobilesentrix, *carefully replaced it* without damaging the lcd, oh well.
Final result, issue is still there, the screen has no back lights. So i'm back to square one, with 3 hours less and 100$ out, issue still on the screen.
The panel is still ok, i can see the apple in the middle of the screen when it kicks in, just no backlight.
                Anyone...

Magnum IA.100 Amplifier Switches on, No Output, Possible Input Side fault?
                by flibidy
I have here a Magnum IA.100 which belongs to my parents.

The unit powers on & when the relay kicks in, you get a pop from the speakers (this might sound weird but is usual behavior for this amp). However, you get nothing coming through it from any of the inputs & no pops and crackls from any of the controls.

Because of the sound from the speaker when the amp turns on I have assumed that the output section probably works but I could be wrong & I'm not sure how to test that side of things further.

                UX461UA no post, fix
                by bbenalmadena
Hi, been banging my head two days with a UX461UA Zenbook Asus that will not post. Laptop looks ok, all voltages looks nominal, CPU gets hot, even fan kicks in when it gets hot, I removed the m2 drive and tried several things, I thought it was a bios issue, I even registered here to try flashing with some BIOSes but the problem still was the same, no POST

At last I decided to check the disk drive to see if any backup can be done and then I realized that the disk drive was broken, I thought what are the odds that the motherboard and the drive at the same time? So I just plug another...
