    maylong brick

Screen is fine, so I want to use it for a gun site. How do you get these $#%^&# things apart so I can get access to the guts of it. Just the os boot seems to be the problem with it, and I will need to rewrite the os anyways.
If breaking open is the only way, where is the best point to do it so as not to break important parts. I can deal with making a new case for the screen, I need to anyways for the motor control cables and triggering signal interface.
Just need to get it apart first.

What is this "$#%^&# thing" exactly? Pictures would help too.

One of those 7" touch screen androids. Was given to me, but doesn't seem to have any way to get apart. The OS boot is trashed, but once inside I can make an sd or eeprom to fix that. Will take photo tonight. Has more than enough cpu to drive a couple of stepper motors for axis controls.

Maybe by now you were able to opened it, but if not is very simple if you have the right tool, just get at ebay an Iphone screen tool kit($1 -$2) or just find one of those Guitar Nails (plastic Triangule) and press all around the edge of the tablet were the two plate covers (Front and Back)get together and you shoud be able to opened it. and please let us know if you were able to do the axis controller. Cheers

Lost MAC Address After BIOS Rewrite – Need Help Restoring on HP 800 G1 SFF
          by jjkevi
          Hi everyone,

I’ve run into an issue with my HP 800 G1 Small Form Factor PC after performing a BIOS rewrite. Everything works except for one major problem — the MAC address for the onboard network adapter is missing.

          Here’s the situation:
          • Model: HP 800 G1 SFF
          • OS: Windows 10 Pro
          • Cause: After rewriting the BIOS, the system lost its original MAC address.
          • Symptoms:
            • Network adapter shows a generic or invalid MAC (or sometimes blank).
            • No Ethernet connectivity unless I use an external USB-to-Ethernet adapter.
          • What I’ve tried:
            • Checked BIOS settings (no MAC override

GRT60-145410 brick PSU, how much of a fire hazard is this thing exactly?
          by spleenharvester
I bought an Alpicool C20 fridge, which is a 60W compressor fridge that runs on 12V or 24V, which can come from either an AC/DC adapter from mains (240V here in UK) or a car battery. The fridge itself is really good quality, so I was surprised to find the power supply (DC14.5V, 4.1A) pretty questionable. Despite being 240V/1.5A the plug was fitted with a 13A fuse - concerning, but not all that uncommon for imported chinese electronics here. But when I felt how light the brick was I immediately said hell no and transferred the proprietary connector to a MeanWell GS90A12-P1M brick (this supply is...

          Lenovo T14 Gen1 i7 10  nm-C931 (brick)
          by UADmytro
Hey! I bought a Lenovo T14 Gen1 i7 10 nm-C931 (a brick). The previous owner said he got it on eBay as a password-locked device and took it to a repair service, where they tried flashing something. The result: it doesn't turn on.

When I plug in the charger, the charging LED lights up, and the power button indicator blinks three times.

I downloaded the firmware from the official website, but it's incomplete. However, there is a firmware for the embedded controller (MEC1663). I did a mass erase via OpenOCD, wiped MEC1663 along with the EEPROM, and flashed an image from the...

Just another fool that messed with UMAF and bricked their Handheld.
I ordered a CH341 Programmer and instantly realized i had a problem when the chip was WSON8 form factor.

I tried using the stock clip connector SOP8 and it wasn't working, i realize most people desolder these chips but im really trying to avoid that.
I modified the SOP8 so there was pins and it was more of a probe, i have access to the pads. Chat GPT told me this IC was 3.3v but i found one reddit post saying its 1.8v.

Did i fry my chip with 3.3v when attempting to detect it with neoprogrammer?...
