enermax liberty(what kind of caps does it contain?)

Hello everybody,
I'm new on this board, so great hello to you all, and i would start by this. i have in my rig a enermax liberty psu,
and my question is which kind of caps are they using , ( as enermax is really good psu) i'm curious of the caps name,or brand.

My enermax liberty has Hitachi input and JPCE-TURs and one UCC output.

From what I understand, JPCE's TUR series are pretty common as output caps. They're OK, I believe, not the best though. That's what I have in my Noisetaker, along with Panasonic input.

I've heard that Enermaxs don't fail as much even with the JPCE-TURs because they have much more efficient cooling. Is this true?

If you get the chance, replace those JPce-turs with better caps. While they're not as bad as the truly bad JEE/Rulycon, YEC, Gloria, Chhsi, etc. caps, I've seen a fair number of blown JPce-turs, especially large ones.

I have the Enermax Liberty ELT620AWT 620 watt and have had it on pretty much 24/7 since April. Very stable so far but I haven't even come close to using its full capacity. That will change with a new video card SLi.

Well I pulled these caps out and replaced them with some Rubycons and some Xicons. I may replace the Xicons if I get some better caps.

These are cTc caps. Whether replacing them helps or not only time will tell but it sounds like the problem with this power supply from what people are saying is a MOSFET or rectifier.

Yeah got mine in bits at the moment
CTC's look OK but mine doesn't get a workout.

They are appear to be crap caps so keep us posted on how yours goes Mutant

Yes the " Flash Bang "Factor

cause unknown, and Q5 appears to be one victim
(what else is history I don't know)

Now a question...do you use an UPS?

I am just wondering how many are on an UPS when they die
(hoping yours... and mine never do of course )

From plywood9's post over at Xtreme seems the 500 and 400 are victims to according to one post
So that does not Bode well for Liberty range at all
(seems Enermax my have really dropped the ball with that range)

So The line up for the caps is

4 X 3300 uf 10V
2 X 3000 uf 16V

1 X 1500 uf 10V
1 X 1000 uf 10V
