I suggest the removal of Allied Electronics from the source list for replacement caps. They have such a poor selection (value range) and almost no low-ESR, caps for the people who want to do MB recapping. The new 2006 book shows the same as the 2001 for selection. They offer Mallory and Illinois Capacitor, but neither are listed in your favorite brands list. Neither have the quality series to offer the consumer who wants to re-cap the board once. Rubys from Topcat, Panasonics form Digikey or Nichicons from Mouser.

Micro-kit, www.microkit.se/index.html can supply Farnell's line of products in small quantities to private, non-business buyers in Sweden.Comment

Re: Change the list of suppliers
Yes, they are. I recently got some Rubycon ZLH capacitors (capacitors=kondensatorer) from them for my K7T Turbo refurbishing projekt. They came in a Farnell bag, so I assume they get them there.Comment

Re: Change the list of suppliers
Well, almost. Here's a quick Swedish 101 ;-)
Capacitor = Kondensator, kondensatorer plural
Resistor = Resistor, resistorer plural, synonym motstånd, motstånd plural
Transistor = Transistor, transistorer plural
Coil = Spole, spolar plural
BTW, here's a quick translation of Micro-kit's webpage:
Do you have capacitors on your motherboard that due to bad manufacturing has failed (started to leak and swell). Micro-kit can supply new ones, and they are all of Rubycon manufacture.
To order these capacitors, send an E-mail message, or call Micro-Kit. Delivery time is normally 1-5 days and the price between 10-20 SEK a piece.
When you order them, do not forget to state:
Dimensions,(diameter, length, and distance between the leads)
Capacitor values, ( microfarads and voltage)
How many of each value.
If you want your capacitors changed, we advice you to contact (person mentioned on Webpage), Västerås area.Comment

by rustinjustMy tv will work for a while and change channels with the remote as it should but then it will stick on one channel only and work ok but it won't change channels. I have tried unplugging it for hours and whilst unplugged pressing the power button on the tv to reset it.
The volume button on the remote still works but it just won't change channels once it decides to stick on one channel
It has built in basic freeview tv here in the uk, I've tried doing an automatic search to reset the tv but nothing works.

by Mark DThe TV is a Samsung UN65JU67ODFXZA Version TD01. I replaced the power source board and the TV is now working, but I decided to try and troubleshoot the old board to fix at the component level. Trying to get a schematic and a parts list has proven to be an issue. Trying on my own, I can't tell you how many times my Norton security has flagged sites as "malicious". I ordered a service manual from ServiceManuals.net, paid $16.99 and got 66 pages of everything BUT schematics and component parts list! Can anyone steer me in the right direction? Some of the surface mounted component parts...

Is there a way to change the CPU multiplier through editing the laptop's BIOS. I have a Latitude 7300 using Intel core I7-8665U CPU which has default multiplier settings between x4.0-x48.0. The problem with the device is that as soon as Windows boots up, the processor temperature is always high (usually in the range of 97-100 degrees Celsius), the multiplier is in the range of x46.0 - x48.0 even though no applications enabled. On a desktop we can change many things related to core voltage, multiplier or base frequency. but on laptop models using U suffix processors this is not available. I would...
