Does it matter if the Capacitor im replacing with uf is lower than the original broken cap? For example the broken cap uf is 2700 the cap im replacing with is 2200uf

Always replace caps with ones of the uf same rating or slightly above, NEVER lower.
Always replace caps with ones of the uf same rating or slightly above, NEVER lower. Same thing goes with the voltage; a bad 25v cap can be replaced with a 35v / 50v cap as long as it fits and you have clearance for other components / casing. Make sure you match or exceed the temp rating also; it will usually be 85c or 105c. -
Re: Capacitor uF
Need a bit more info... Brand & series AND diameter & height. Easier to make the proper recommendation for replacement. Series are usually 2 or 3 letter marked near the temperature rating.
Diameter and height.
Also, consider replacing all of that brand and series of cap on the board. More failures are likely. Especially due to the heat in there.
If you are unsure, post pics of markings on cap.

Re: Capacitor uF
How old of a xbox 360 is this? Mine is the first gen to have the extra heatpipe and heatsink on the gpu, smaller manufacturing process, and the HDMI port on the back.
When I cracked it open it had all 105C rubycon's from the bigun's to the littleun's, along with the little fujitsu solids scattered about.

Capacitor detached from PCB – RTX 2070 Super Founders Edition
Description:
During maintenance on an RTX 2070 SUPER Founders Edition, I found a capacitor lying on my desk after reassembly.
I did not notice it detaching, so I am unsure of its original location on the PCB.
Procedure performed:
- Removed backplate
- Cleaned heatsink and PCB with isopropyl alcohol + soft ESD brush
- Reapplied thermal compound
- Reassembled card
Observed behavior after reassembly:
- GPU powers on and operates normally under...11 Photos -
by chth96When I tried to repair LG 29 inch CRT TV, I found that the ESR value of samyoung SMS capacitor(160v 2.2uf), which is very close to D1879 transistor, is 6 ohm.
Judging from above ESR Meter Table,I think It is necessary to replace this sms capacitor. So I visited local electronics shop, and I purchased 160v 2.2uf rubycon YK capacitor.
But when I browse through rubycon YK datasheet,I found that there is no ripple current rating for 160v 2.2uf specification. But On the contrary, I found 39 mA ripple current rating for 160v 2.2uf SMS capacitor.

by “Eabdel”Hello,
I have a RTX 3090 Founders Edition and it's detected as PCIE X4 instead of X16
I took a look to the PCB and found that a capacitor, wich is linked to and the PCIE fingers lines, is broken. I count and it's on the 32 position (exactely the end of the PCIEX4)
Anyone knows this capacitor specification? I see some other models boardview and seems to be linked to the ground
Can I just solder the trace between them with no capacitor or it's risky?
Thanks...2 Photos -
by Agent24I have acquired a used Dick Smith Q-1760 power supply - although the OEM is Manson Industrial
It has at least one problem.
The voltage control potentiometer VR2, 50K is faulty - going high resistance / open circuit in the CCW end and leading to the output voltage jumping around.
I have already ordered a replacement potentiometer, so that's not an issue.
Now, I want to replace all three electrolytics on the PCB as they are CapXon and I don't trust them so much, I will replace them with something better while I've got the thing apart anyway.
All are CapXon... -
by AdenitzHello,
I'm reading an article about the "capacitor plaque" in early 2000s and I have found one sentence I cannot understand.
The normal lifespan of a non-solid electrolytic capacitor of consumer quality, typically rated at 2000 h/85 °C and operating at 40 °C, is roughly 6 years. It can be more than 10 years for a 1000 h/105 °C capacitor operating at 40 °C.
What this 2000h or 1000h means? Why 1000h capacitors have longer life span?-
