    Nakamichi OMS-2A

I had one like this back in the day (1987), on a whim bought a functioning one I found on Ebay. Thinking about recapping it and seeing if it will go another 30, which is more time than I have.

Keep them! no need to recapp unless there is a real problem. they are good caps and analog sound signals are less eroding than graphic cards and CPU

I too would leave it alone. there is no need to replace those caps if the unit is working. you will likely do more damage and end up with a non working unit in the end.

Macbook A2338 M2 (EMC 8162) keyboard not functioning, trackpad is working
        by Vliegenier04
Hi! This Mac has been an headscratcher for me, I can't seem to figure out the issue. The Macbook has gotten water damage to the front of the keyboard connector and battery connector. The keyboard connector was dead, by which I mean it was completely corroded and I have replaced it with a brand new one.
I have verified all the pins are connected to the main board and the main voltages (PP1V8_AONSW_KBD_ISNS and PP3V3_AON_KBD_CONN) are both present, with and without keyboard attached.

Unfortunately, the keyboard does NOT want to work, caps lock LED not functioning as well as any...

        Macbook Pro A2289 EMC 3456, MLB 820-1987-A, broken U6903, stuck at 5v

        Dear friends,
a close friend of mine gave me this machine, she told me that the last days the fan was going high and that it was heating up too much for the usual things, and that suddenly one morning it didn't start anymore .
I opened it and inspected carefully with a high magnifying lens, found no oxydized spots but a short on PPBUS_G3H , then a blown U6903.
        I changed U6903 with a new one, PPBUS_G3H became 558 (measuring with red probe to gnd , and black on F7000) , PP3V3_G3H_RTC 463.
Now when I plug the usbc cable (original Apple 61W power supply), nothing starts automatically,...

        Hi all,

Need some assistance with a 1987. History is its chassis was completely crushed trackpad and screen were shattered not sure how but it seems like it was ran over. Board visually seems fine doesn't look warped no visible cracks in anything board side.

went through the power sequence diagram on logiwiki for the 01055 because there doesn't seem to be one for the 1987? All rails up until pp3v3s5 are present. Found out that pp3v3s5 and pp1v8s5 are coming on when you first connect the board but they shutdown after around 15 seconds or so.It seems like the PMIC is...
