The TCI cap is the mystery, on one hand it looks like cheap cap, however TCI used to manufacture caps in the USA
theres some audio forums posts asking about TCI caps

Re: Help Identifying Capacitor Brands
Look for a 'good' brand name Nichicon, Panasonic and the like. These are 85C so no real issue with ESR etc in an audio amplifier circuit.Comment

Re: Help Identifying Capacitor Brands
Couldnt find anything on the OECi cap, it seems like a generic cheap brand because you can buy it relatively cheap online.

Re: Help Identifying Capacitor Brands
There are plenty of 85 degree caps that are more than general purpose, which is why I was trying to find specific info on these two caps.
Thanks. The TCI marked one is not as important to me to figure out as the OECI one. I know the TCI marked one is on the secondary side of the SMPS transformer, so I had planned to upgrade that to a Nichicon UHW series cap anyway. The OECI one is a little more mysterious to me to as I did not trace the functionality yet. I don't think it is anything in the signal path based on the capacitance and voltage values, but I can't swear to it. I just wanted to make sure I should not at least look at an audio/low loss tangent cap. I would replace it with a chemicon KYB if it is a non-audio application and I had not really decided if I would use something different if it was in the signal path.

I agree that General Purpose caps is ok in a non audio application area, and KYB is ok in a Audio area, thats what i would doYes i love Nichicon MUSE Audio Capacitors...they would look awesome all over any motherboardComment

by PrologHi people, I hope this is the correct spot to post this, I'm new to the forum.
I have an RTX 3080 Founders Edition which has a burnt up capacitor (it was in parallel with another capacitor which appears damaged too), so I am hoping to be able to identify the capacitor values and order replacements.
I hope these photos make it clear which component I am referring to:
(yes, the soldering is a bit botched from removing the blown one, I know)
I have found the board schematic (attached), but there does not seem to be a boardview available. I have never... -
by cookAre there good brands for 'run capacitors' or 'start capacitors' that are used on electric motors or heat pump compressors? ... r are the good capacitor brands for electronics (power supplies, laptops, motherboards, etc.) also the good brands for run capacitors?
Yeah I know this might be a novice question, but I just wanted to be sure. I did do a search on the forum but did not see this question asked before.
Thanks-

by AmbroIn an unfortunate mishap while attempting to read from the bios chip, one of the smd capacitors took flight and disappeared.
I'm not sure how crucial this smd capacitor is, but it was a brown possibly ceramic one with no notable markings on it anywhere.
I've attached a picture of where it's located on the board.
Does anyone have an HP elitebook 840 g3 who might be able to aid me identifying this component. I'm not sure how crucial it is, but didn't want to risk it.
Thank you for any help you can provide.... -
by grimacelordHello,
I have sort of a weird one here. This is the circuit board for a Kar-Tech VERSA remote. It's a wireless transmitter for crane and other heavy equipment.
One of the capacitors have blown and I need help finding a replacement. The capacitors are 11.4mm x 6.6mm in size and the only imprint on them is "200mΩF", which I am assuming means 200 microfarads. There is no other markings on them. I have tried doing some searching on digikey and mouser, but I can't seem to find anything like this on there or I am inputting the wrong search parameters.... -
by krob80Hey everyone. I recently acquired a PS5 that is not turning on (no beep/power). PSU is good and there is no shorting on the 12V rail.
It came with a Gen3 SSD installed so I feel that things went down hill for the previous owner when it was installed. F7003 was blown but there was nothing shorting to ground. I replaced the fuse but still no power (new fuse is still good for now).
When connecting it to a bench power supply, it only pulls 10 mA (doesn't spike when first connected).
I noticed that there are a couple capacitors missing from the Vcore power regulator (pictures attached).... - Loading...
