    electrolyte capacitor high voltage tester

    dear all:
i need schematic for testing high voltage electrolyte capacitors(leackage and capacity tester)(for example 390uf 450v)that used in frequency inverters and ac motor drives .please send me good project or schematic for this tester.
and please send good analog esr meter
    good luck.

There a lots of good testers on the market that can measure capacitance and ESR. I have a BLUE ESR meter that is quite reasonably priced and considered one of the best. Also, I have separate meter to test capacitance in both polarized or electrolytic and non-polarized capacitors, regardless of working voltage.

I unfortunately don't have a single unit that does everything. I have a Sencore LC meter that can measure capacitance and leakage at multiple voltages including at several hundred volts - which is helpful for those high voltage capacitors as well as also being able to be used to reform capacitors - but it does not measure ESR. My ESR measurements are done on a homemade meter, not "professional" but it's all I have, and it has already saved me from needing to pull capacitors to test.

I suspect the Sencore is a fairly old device, it's only been the last few decades where switching supplies that require low ESR capacitors start showing up everywhere.

I got the ESR Micros for sale, based upon the original Blue meter, but signifficantly improved over time. Still do not measure leakage though.

we know what does, but you insist it's a pile of shit pirated in garages by chinese prisoners.

Most of them are, yes. There are certainly better models also coming from China, but as you are cheap, you don't bother with them

Yo sure it measures leakage anyway? Gonna have to check it, I remember only capacity and ESR.

desoldered capacitor is self charging until 0.6 voltage.

I have an 21 inch CRT TV which is not able to power on.
I disassembled 21 inch CRT TV and measured voltage of main filter capacitor(Samhwa HC 400WV 220uF) in the circuit.
It shows 270V on my DMM.

So I discharged this main filter capactior completely and detached circuit board from cathode-ray tube.
Then I desoldered this main filter capacitor from circuit board.
But I noticed that this desoldered large capacitor(Samhwa HC 400WV 220uF) is slowly charged by itself until it reached 0.6V

I measured its ESR value with MESR-100 and it shows 0.1 ohm,judging...

MSI RX580 Vcore voltage is too high, please help me !!!
                by conghuyms
I have an MSI Armor RX580 8GB V1.3 graphics card. Currently, all power rails are present, but the voltage supplied to the GPU Vcore, which should normally be around 0.9–1V, is measuring at 1.4–1.5V. The GPU gets very hot, and the MOSFETs supplying the Vcore phases are also extremely hot, with a noticeable whistling noise.
I’ve already replaced the UP9505P controller IC with a new one, but the issue remains the same.

Since the UP9505P is a new IC, could it require firmware programming like some high-end graphics cards such as the RX5700XT?

                What should I do...

Repair of Sign WiFi Smart Plug PCB: SA-P302A v1.2 due to bad caps - with schematic
                by Per Hansson
I have repaired a Sign WiFi Smart Plug with model number: SNSM-WASINGLE sold by Spares Nordic AB in Sweden.
The fault condition was that the device gave no signs of life: pressing the push button did not cycle the internal relay and the blue LED did not come on and it was not seen on the WiFi network.
The fault was very simple, capacitor C3 on the PCB with writing "KSJ" and "LOWESR" had literally blown its top off, after replacing it the device works fine again!

As I find linear high voltage regulator designs interesting I drew up the attached schematic...

Low voltage very high current rail distribution

I have some mains toroid transformer220v/12v, and thinking to add a few one-two turns fat coil in parallel, like in picture. Red are working windings, purple (top and bottom) is rails who connect all low voltage windings.

Question is, how to connect that device to be as much more efficient in spot welder operation to distribute and pulls currents to all winding equaly, minimalize voltage drop?

                output on half E-F
                output on C-B
                connect A-B and C-D, output on A-F
                otherwise?...
