However, I don't give'a flying fuck about the subject and I don't care if you think it's an error.

Firstly, I ordinarily don't consider a subject a few day old "dead". Secondly, the Jamaican subject looked rather unresolved, when it was only unsubstantiated claims. But in the end, when you don't even accept official Jamaican documentation, the subject becomes rather dead ended. Then call it a dead horse if you like.

                  Name of site: badCAPS.net.
Thread subject: Should we change the good-bad CAPS list.

You two took a random reference to the UK in a discussion about CAPACITORS, put it under a microscope, and then proceed to drill the shit out of it.

If that's what you two wanna talk about then go find the: "Who give's a shit about Jamaican Government" site and forum or start a new thread here.

I'm sure it will be popular.

What 'class' is this Hill Audio DX3000 Amplifier?
                      by dicky96
Hi guys, this is general query really

So I have a Hill DX3000 3KW audio amplifier here.

It has a topology/design like a class A/B but all the banks of output transistors (10 transistors in each 'side' of the channel) are NPN.

I was wondering what class this is. It doesn't fit the description of class A.
It also doesn't match class A/B or B amplifiers as all the examples I see have a complimentary output stage desigs (NPN/PNP) and clearly is not G, H or D

I looked for 'class A push pull' but that didn't tell me anything either
                      ...

Samsung UN65JU67ODFXZA Version TD01 Schematic and Parts List
                      by Mark D
The TV is a Samsung UN65JU67ODFXZA Version TD01. I replaced the power source board and the TV is now working, but I decided to try and troubleshoot the old board to fix at the component level. Trying to get a schematic and a parts list has proven to be an issue. Trying on my own, I can't tell you how many times my Norton security has flagged sites as "malicious". I ordered a service manual from ServiceManuals.net, paid $16.99 and got 66 pages of everything BUT schematics and component parts list! Can anyone steer me in the right direction? Some of the surface mounted component parts...

                      List of compatible laptop motherboards
                      by Deby

This is a list of compatible laptop motherboard information that I have been collecting for some time.
                      And it's still ongoing.
Every time I come across information that a board is compatible with another, I write it down.
Anyone who wants to, can continue to expand the list.
Packed in the rar, is an excel table that has additional information.

                      RIFA Class Y Capacitor remedy
                      by presario425
                      Hi all!
I have a piece of gear with a Power-one SPL130 power supply in it. On the primary side, there is a very tiny (about the size of your thumb nail) RIFA Class Y capacitor, 2.2 nF. I'm not too sure about the condition (whether or not it's cracking) but I do know that it's there.

I'm aggregating information as to how I should remedy this. It hasn't exploded yet, but that's what I'm trying to avoid.

I've never seen a RIFA class Y safety cap self destruct (or at least it hasn't been documented in the past). However, it's not worth the risk to leave it in there....

Sony STR-DN1050 - No video, no BT, No WIFI, and FM is not changing stations
                      by jason123
                      Hello folks,
New to Audio equipment - I got this receiver, I connected speakers and I tried to connect to Bluetooth. My phone would not see the receiver (Receiver flashes the BT as if it's trying to pair). Then I put it on FM radio, I get white noise on the speakers. I click the +/- Tuner button, and it moves from saved station 1 through 28, but the frequency is 87.x MHz not changing. At this point, thinking I may need to do a FW upgrade, I connected an HDMI cable to the TV and TV reports "No Signal" - TV "Kind of" sees the receiver (When connected to greyed out port,...
