And yes, most chinese/taiwanese companys have way cheaper series than japanese and american capacitor manufacturers have...
    And are judged by that...

Still, they also have better/good series in their lineup!!

So flaming a manufacturer becuase their worst capacitor series fails sooner rather than later is just stupid...
    I Couldn't agree more.

I replace Jamicons ALL the time in UPS. Mostly GP series, but still, crap.

Never sus'con. They are the worst capacitors possible.

Mine would be Jamicon, followed by Taicon then Lelon.

Hermei also seems to be slightly more decent lately…and there is Taicon, with partial Nichicon investment.

I have some Illinois Capacitor's that look like they are made by Samxon by the markings on the capacitors.

The question is, why would I ever need to do that?

Anyway, Lelon good, are you kidding me? MAYBE polymers are not life-threatening to touch, but we 'lytics? Never.

Companies like Vishay are so erratic, they bought so many crap makers and you have no idea where does it come from and what the quality is. When they can make failing rectifiers, they can make anything.

I've also seen few failed Illinois Capacitors plus their MOQ policy is just like ill, no wonder they don't sell anything when they tell you MOQ is 100k pieces

Cornell Dubilier is most likely OK. Samxon is OK when you select right series. TDK/EPCOS are likely OK, and there are few others japanese brands many have not even heard about before

Taicon, Teapo, samxon , wurth polymers, apaq polymers (and a bunch of other brands as polymer caps aren't that problematic as electrolytic capacitors), and then maybe Lelon , su'scon, aishi , elite

I personally would go with Su'Scon or Lelon. I prefer Lelon though, I do think they make pretty good caps.

Japanese language -- Win7 or Linux Mint?
    by Hondaman
I ordered a Japanese book, it will never be published in English. A Mr. Fujumoto was a Japanese sushi chef who became a cook for Kim Jong-Il. He was not perceived as a threat to the dictator's power, so he became very close to the dictator. Apparently, the dictator is QUITE hedonistic, with a lot of debauchery. Although he can spend as much as $700,000 per year on alcoholic beverages and this alcohol is NOT actually the highest quality. Also, the dictator has 24 palaces. One of them is as large as TEN YANKEE STADIUMS PUT TOGETHER. Are they all that large?

    Does anyone have experience...

help SG2701B01-7 panel chinese, would this integrated circuit be equivalent? Chinese IC CS601C regulator.
    by valente222
Hi, I'm repairing this Chinese SG2701B01-7 panel. There isn't much information about it. The original part for the panel is a CSOT CS601C regulator. I can't find anything commercial on Aliexpress; there's only the CS601 without the final 'C'. They claim it's a variant. But will it be compatible? Well, my diagnosis on this screen is a video problem; the image is practically black, although there is HDMI communication. The LED light is on (backlight), but there is no VGL, no 3.3V, and no VSS. It seems that this IC is the one controlling these voltages. The monitor worked correctly for a moment and...

CDS‑200B ultrasonic cleaner - (other generic Chinese cleaners are somewhat similar)
    by itsthatidiotagain
CDS‑200B ultrasonic cleaner - AKA James Ultra 7050 etc.

There are many versions of cheap Chinese ultrasonic cleaners, and a fair few share this design, with a removable tank with handle. There are also fixed tank versions which look to use the same basic layout and presumably the same PCBs.

I picked one up "spares or repair" on ebay, and the cleaner was dead, but the fuse wasn't blown.

A quick diode check revealed D7 was shorted. D7 is a 12V 1/2 Watt Zener. I had one in my stash, so this was about as close to a "five minute repair" as...

Anyone else been having problems with chinese laptops using ESSX8336 / ES8336 audio?
    by NanoTesting
This audio chipset has been a pain to deal with, most of the time its impossible to find drivers for chinese laptops that have no name/brand, or generic rebranded laptops.
Huawei also started to use it BUT they no longer host drivers on their website since they want you to force their PC manager app that often refuses to install after bios flashing and apparently the generic drivers around wont work on some intel systems and others wont work on amd systems, the generic ones have worked only once and i think i have had this problem on 30+ laptops so far in the last year.
