Need ESR values for 8200uf 50v cap

Looking at power supply caps in in Rotel amp.

What is considered a good or ok ESR value for a 8200uf 50v Cap?
What would be consider a marginal or bad value?

All the esr charts I can find peter out at 4700uf....

They are marked Rotel with 9341 but my question is more general then specific to these.

From what I can see, these are the primary filter units.
A 8200uF 50V Chemi-Con KMH Series unit has a maximum ESR of 0.04 ohms at 120 Hz - most ESR meters typically measure only with 100 kHz.
My first choice in quality Japanese electrolytics is Nippon Chemi-Con, which has been in business since 1931... the quality of electronics is dependent on the quality of the electrolytics.

          So two questions :
          1) Is the esr expect to be higher or lower than that when measured at 100hz?
          2) If that specific cap, as an example, read 0.08 ohms (twice the maximum), would it technically be considered "bad" or just out of ideal spec? I've posts where people consider anything above 1 ohm to be really "bad".

That's just bad info. It's all relative.
A top speed of 140 Kph in a Lamborghini is "really bad", but normal for a ford ford focus.

It is dependent on several factors and asking what is the esr of XX uf @ xx V is not really answerable to any meaningful response.
Data sheet, data sheet, data sheet is the answer

Take this Vishay cap i ran into lately with an esr > 20.
            Bad right?
But the data sheet says 32 ohms @ 10Khz. Go figure! see 1st pic
Extreme case, yes but there are others higher than 1 as normal for the right valve and series.
Even some low value Panny FC series has esr greater than 1. see 2nd pic
            cheers

i wouldn't worry too much in an amp .
look at something like this .
EPCOS Aluminium Electrolytic Capacitor 8200μF 80 V dc 35mm Through Hole series B41231 lifetime 2000h

I would get the one with highest ripple current and rated life spec for the application you are using it for: Linear power supply for power amp with high current demand.

Recapping Sony ICF-SW55 - verifying cap values
                  by proxneo
                  Dear reader

I am performing a repair on a Sony ICF-SW55, which includes recapping (some) of the SMD capacitors on the mainboard. I am looking for verification of their values. At the moment, I'm 95% sure I've got the right values, but it is hard to find some official, credible or multiple independant sources on this.

At the moment, I have selected replacements based on the following list of values:

                  3 x 470uF 10VDC
                  3 x 4.7uF 35VDC
                  4 x 47uF 50VDC
                  8 x 22uF 6.3 VDC
                  1 x 220uF 6.3VDC
                  5 x 100uF 6.3VDC

                  Which...

Different (lower) resistor values on PCB?
                  by Kobok
                  Dear Alls,
For sure it id a stupid question, but help me to understand. I am in a Dell 2007WFP revitalizing project - searching reason why not starting. Some resistors needed to replaced is is obvious. When I have soldered some resistors the measured (with multimeter) values were sometimes rather different written on them. I supposed these are wrong units so I desoldered and made a checking measurement and voilá the values is the same is written on. This happens only in case of a few resistors, most have the same values (+/- 10%) are written on it. "strange" SMD resistors =>103...

Here some measurements on HP Victus 16-d0500la, it might help someone, the values are on diode mode->mV and some lower ones on Resistance->Ω.

This specific laptop has an Intel i5 11400h + RTX 3050TI, the values are from a working laptop....

                  Rotel RA-810 Fader Caps
                  by bermo96
                  Hi,

I rescued an old Rotel RA-810, after a little cleaning and new thermal grease for the transistor it works like it should.
But unfortunately the fader caps are gone, they are nice aluminum caps, so I want to try to find something similar.

Does anyone know if this amp shared these fader caps with other brands? Or if there is something similar on the internet?

The picture is for the balance cap, the faders have the black line running through the cap.
