How about WIMA (Germany, 1959) and Cornell-Dubilier (USA?, 1909)?
I've heard some WIMA issues, and well, I personally had some (ancient) CDE caps go bad. But that's not really that fair of a sample...

WIMA mostly makes film caps if I am not mistaken, I don't think I've ever seen bad one. CD makes mostly big can caps and special caps, somewhat out of our usual product. I'd use them if they got the neccessary specs for a good price.

But Unicon makes small THT sizes, that's exactly what we use 98% of the time here…

Hmm, according to this company, they are the OEM for Unicon:

        But should we believe them?

Sometimes where you find those caps can be a decent indicator of the quality you may want to expect.

If you find it in a decent PSU like Enhance for example, I'd expect that they aren't that bad. Just because no one knows a brand doesn't mean that they are bad, it just means that they was a bit on the expansive side or just not that easy to get a hold of...
