Mobo Recapped - Burn In Tests

What tests should be run to confirm system integrity on a board that has been recapped.

The recapped board (repaired at badcaps.net) has been installed, it boots to windows and seems fine at this stage.

What I was going to do was run the following applications.

    1. HDD full diagnostics
    2. Run Memtest86 for 24hrs
    3. Run Prime95 (multiple tests) for 24hrs each
    4. Run 3Dmark for about 20-24hrs

Pretty much the same tests that I would use to check an overclock.

Are these tests sufficient to confirm that all the new caps / mobo are working fine, or is there something else that I should be running.

Many thanks for any info provided.

    Cheers

I reckon that it is sufficient.

It's a lot more than what I did!

It seems that the Prime95 test and the Memtest86 test are the most widely used on these forums.

HANNSG Hi221 -- 2 secs to black feat. CCFL flicker & "burn" marks on power board
        by ttmi100x
        Greetings everyone,

I have a HANNSG Hi221 monitor that exhibits two seconds to black issues (backlight goes off, display is still on as confirmed by shining a flashlight on it) with some additional oddities...

The monitor failed on me with a standard "2 seconds to black" some time ago prompting me to initially replace most of the electrolytic capacitors (some of them were bulging/leaking).
Things kinda sorta worked for a night, then the problem returned along with some flickering and "buzzing" noises.

        Upon closer inspection...

Insignia NS-43D420NA20 backlight on no display - LCD panel burn failure
        by howardc64
Eventually discovered a burn mark near lower corner of LCD. Here is a summary
        • Backlight on, no image
        • Disconnect right buffer board (view from front), left side display comes on
        • Masked off pin 7+8 (both ~12,5v on both left and right buffer board) from t-con to right buffer board (view from front) display works but have some lines
        • Buffer board is pretty simple
Removed the front bezel to examine edge of the glass. Found burn mark on lower right (view from front). Plastic bezel covering the burn mark region shows heat signature on the inside surface facing the LCD panel. Last 2 pics. Bright...

what i went through dealing with my mobo with dead onboard sound!
        by ChaosLegionnaire
so i took out one of my spare gigabyte ep35-ds3r mobos from storage for use to do some cpu, ram and video card testing of stuff i bought from ebay and got for free from momaka. he bought 50 e8400 cpus for cheap from ebay some years ago and i decided to help him relieve him of some of his supply since he had waaaay too many!! what did we say about hoarding too much stuff and depriving others of them?! *cough* socialism *cough* lol!

i had to blow some dust off the board and heatsinks with the datavac as i didnt clean it up before putting it in storage. after finishing...

        AOC U27G3X strange burn-in
        by Tom41
I have an AOC U27G3X 4K gaming monitor that I use both as a TV and for gaming on a Nintendo Switch 2 console. Recently, something very strange has been happening to it. After playing a game that has an on-screen timer for a few minutes, the last digit of the timer (the one rapidly flickering from 0 to 9) appears to burn in on the monitor. Going to a different source or power cycling the monitor does not help; there is a constant flickering area on the screen where that digit was.

It seems strange that only that digit would burn in, and NOT the other digits that are changing less frequently....

Mobo MSI B550-A PRO password popup
        by Cerberuska
        Hello guys,
I have interesting problem. My MoBo MSI running on Ryzen 7 w/o graphics just good. I swapped to Ryzen 5 5600G and on the boot I stuck with screen on picture. Enter Password. I checked BIOS setting with Ryzen 7, no security is enabled, BIOS password or TPM.
BIOS I updated to last one.
        any suggestions?
And same thing for two different 5600G, and yes, MoBo supposed to support it.
        Thank you...
