    Soniq L3212A

Hello all, I have a Soniq TV which won't turn on via remote(QT160). It sometimes comes on if I turn off the power until the red light goes out, then turn it back on and try the remote again. When it does come on, everything works fine from the remote. I have checked the remote (using mobile phone camera)and it works. I heard that sometimes they use cheap capacitors and have checked inside but can't see any leaking or swollen. Would prefer to fix it so it works from the remote, but can it be turned on using the side buttons on the TV?? Any ideas

    Thanks

    Jim
    p.s. its a Soniq L32V12A

Have you tried using the button panel on the TV when it's not responding to the remote?

...also, check out the thread linked below (if you haven't already), it may have some useful information.

How about upload good clear pictures of the whole backside of YOUR TV so we can see the boards and also the pictures of each board?

        Re: Soniq L3212A

Thanks for the response Lojix and Budm . The pics in the link supplied by Lojix are the same as my boards, but there is no on/off button on the set itself. Since, on the odd occasion I was able to turn the set on(by turning power off till the red light went out, then turning it back on), the remote worked fine for all other functions. Therefore I surmise its a fault in that part of the circuit that actually turns the TV on. I'm not a technician by any stretch of the imagination but can test a circuit through if I know what voltage goes in and comes out at various points. So, once the remote button is activated, what does it turn on.. or where should I find voltage when I press the power button on the remote? Thanks, Jim

un60j620dafxza - Samsung No Display Problem
          by stylishconsultant
          Hi All,

          Need help.

I have a samsung un60j620dafxza led tv. When I plug it in it has no display, no sounds, and no standby lights.

So I opened the tv and disconnected the power to the mainboard and the backlight powered up. This according to many people says that this is a mainboard
problem. I checked the voltage coming from the stb and I read 1.3 volts on pins 1,3,5 and 7 which are low volts instead of 13 volts which i think the lcd panel
might be drawing too much power from the power supply that it prevents the right voltage going to the mainboard....

Toshiba 50lf711u20 fire tv remote not pairing
          by Mc_Millian
          Hello everyone,

I was wondering if anyone could help my in pairing a remote with a Toshiba fire tv?
The Tv model number is: 50lf711u20 Rev B.

I've already replaced all the the circuit boards within the tv along with the I.R. sensor receiver.

I've tried 3 different remotes which should be fully compatible with this TV.

Oddly enough. A few if the buttons on all of the remotes actually work. Even without pairing...which makes no sense.

The power button, along with the volume, back, select, and directional...

UE40D5000 no display or reaction to either remote or touch
          by VaporGame
I recently pulled out my tv from the attic that I remember bricking as a child with the service menu. I remember at the time it came on but didn't react to anything. I have tried a factory reset from the remote and a EEPROM reset but neither worked. I get no led light.
Here are the things i already tried and did:
          • Checked the power supply (There was a burnt transistor but looking online its a common issue and its not crucial for the tv to run)
          • confirmed the power supply outputs the correct voltages
          • many remote button combinations
          • confirmed the backlight works (lights up when motherboard

Samsung UN75NU6950 no backlight but leds works when checked individually!
          by Anooc7
Hi, This model has bottom mounted leds . Got it with right ride 1/3 of the display black. So I checked the 6 + and - wire that powers 6 different zones and found that the 5th zone was open, which opens 6th zone too makes the right 1/3 of the display dark. Opened it and found one blown led on the 5th zone and shorted that path using solder. So now all the zones works when I check it using the bl tester , but when I put everything back together there is no backlight! The voltage I am getting when neg to chassis is 387v. How does that happen? Still individual zones working with bl tester .

Pioneer VSX-522-K remote control not working???
          by tmhobadcap
I have this receiver for at least 10 years. Usually, we just use the remote for turning on/off and adjusting the volume. Recently, the remote control started not able to turn the receiver on. Later, the volume also could not be adjusted by the remote control.

At first, I thought that it was the usual problem which can be fixed by cleaning the contacts on the switches and the pcb. I opened the remote and clean it with alcohol. The remote did work again after that. But after one day, it did not work again. I opened it again and clean with alcohol and contact cleaner. Again it worked...
