Re: Soniq L3212A
Thanks for the response Lojix and Budm . The pics in the link supplied by Lojix are the same as my boards, but there is no on/off button on the set itself. Since, on the odd occasion I was able to turn the set on(by turning power off till the red light went out, then turning it back on), the remote worked fine for all other functions. Therefore I surmise its a fault in that part of the circuit that actually turns the TV on. I'm not a technician by any stretch of the imagination but can test a circuit through if I know what voltage goes in and comes out at various...

Soniq L3212A
Hello all, I have a Soniq TV which won't turn on via remote(QT160). It sometimes comes on if I turn off the power until the red light goes out, then turn it back on and try the remote again. When it does come on, everything works fine from the remote. I have checked the remote (using mobile phone camera)and it works. I heard that sometimes they use cheap capacitors and have checked inside but can't see any leaking or swollen. Would prefer to fix it so it works from the remote, but can it be turned on using the side buttons on the TV?? Any ideas
Thanks
Jim
