Re: Help needed identifying capacitor
X/Y safety Capacitor module: 3 capacitors in one body, one 0.15uF, and two 2.7nF( 0.0027uF), they are morel likely to be line filter to keep the noise from injecting back into the power line. You need to see how it is connected in the circuit.Last edited by budm; 09-24-2014, 04:03 PM.Never stop learning

Re: Help needed identifying capacitor
Yes you can use 3 caps, but you need to trace out how it is connected in the circuit.Never stop learning

Re: Help needed identifying capacitor
Brill. But with the capacitor being blown how do I know which wire relates to which value capacitor? I will take a picture of the internals this weekend and see if you are able to help further. Hopefully it will work again some day! Thanks again for your help so far

Re: Help needed identifying capacitor
As you can see in the picture post 5, the left side of the body is the 0.15uF cap as I shown with the red line, the right side of the body are the two cap connected in series and has the wire attached between the two junction.
Take the pictures of each end of the cap to show how the wires exit the body of the cap.Last edited by budm; 09-25-2014, 04:02 PM.Never stop learning
