Re: Help needed identifying capacitor
X/Y safety Capacitor module: 3 capacitors in one body, one 0.15uF, and two 2.7nF( 0.0027uF), they are morel likely to be line filter to keep the noise from injecting back into the power line. You need to see how it is connected in the circuit.Last edited by budm; 09-24-2014, 04:03 PM.Never stop learning

Re: Help needed identifying capacitor
Yes you can use 3 caps, but you need to trace out how it is connected in the circuit.Never stop learning

Re: Help needed identifying capacitor
Brill. But with the capacitor being blown how do I know which wire relates to which value capacitor? I will take a picture of the internals this weekend and see if you are able to help further. Hopefully it will work again some day! Thanks again for your help so farComment

Re: Help needed identifying capacitor
As you can see in the picture post 5, the left side of the body is the 0.15uF cap as I shown with the red line, the right side of the body are the two cap connected in series and has the wire attached between the two junction.
Take the pictures of each end of the cap to show how the wires exit the body of the cap.Last edited by budm; 09-25-2014, 04:02 PM.Never stop learning

by PrologHi people, I hope this is the correct spot to post this, I'm new to the forum.
I have an RTX 3080 Founders Edition which has a burnt up capacitor (it was in parallel with another capacitor which appears damaged too), so I am hoping to be able to identify the capacitor values and order replacements.
I hope these photos make it clear which component I am referring to:
(yes, the soldering is a bit botched from removing the blown one, I know)
I have found the board schematic (attached), but there does not seem to be a boardview available. I have never... -

Capacitor detached from PCB – RTX 2070 Super Founders Edition
Description:
During maintenance on an RTX 2070 SUPER Founders Edition, I found a capacitor lying on my desk after reassembly.
I did not notice it detaching, so I am unsure of its original location on the PCB.
Procedure performed:
- Removed backplate
- Cleaned heatsink and PCB with isopropyl alcohol + soft ESD brush
- Reapplied thermal compound
- Reassembled card
Observed behavior after reassembly:
- GPU powers on and operates normally under...11 Photos -
by veedoHello
I've got an Asus laptop which received with no power, so I found that one capacitor been damaged. I don't have schematics for that board which is DANJMMB11A0 REV:A
Without that caps laptop is turning on fine so problem more likely is sorted but I would like to put back the correct one as it should be.
If any way could help with sorting out specification somehow, I just know that my meter shows 11,2uF but is it 50V or 10V ?? or any others.
See attached photo off the capacitor, maybe someone have same motherboard and can check it for me please.

by AmbroIn an unfortunate mishap while attempting to read from the bios chip, one of the smd capacitors took flight and disappeared.
I'm not sure how crucial this smd capacitor is, but it was a brown possibly ceramic one with no notable markings on it anywhere.
I've attached a picture of where it's located on the board.
Does anyone have an HP elitebook 840 g3 who might be able to aid me identifying this component. I'm not sure how crucial it is, but didn't want to risk it.
Thank you for any help you can provide.... -
by grimacelordHello,
I have sort of a weird one here. This is the circuit board for a Kar-Tech VERSA remote. It's a wireless transmitter for crane and other heavy equipment.
One of the capacitors have blown and I need help finding a replacement. The capacitors are 11.4mm x 6.6mm in size and the only imprint on them is "200mΩF", which I am assuming means 200 microfarads. There is no other markings on them. I have tried doing some searching on digikey and mouser, but I can't seem to find anything like this on there or I am inputting the wrong search parameters.... - Loading...
