Re: Help needed identifying capacitor
Brill. But with the capacitor being blown how do I know which wire relates to which value capacitor? I will take a picture of the internals this weekend and see if you are able to help further. Hopefully it will work again some day! Thanks again for your help so far

Help needed identifying capacitor
Hi can anybody shed some light on this capacitor please. It it part of a 240v mincing machine but has 5 wires. 2 blue, 2 black and a clear shielded earth. The motor still ran after this burnt out. Thanks in advance. Ben...

Re: New Members - please post your introductions here
Hi and thank you for allowing me to be part of your site. I'm Ben, an aircraft engineer from the UK and primarily joined this site for help and advice over a capacitor I'm trying to replace. However, from reading various posts I feel it can also be both interesting and educational towards expanding my limited electrical knowledge. Every day's a school day! Thanks again.
