    From my 3D printer, is this a capacitor?

    Hey there,
    I'm largely still a student and unsure about identifying components like this, anyone have any idea what this is and if I have another one, fairly straight forward to swap out?
    From my Bambu Labs AMS - had connected the wiring incorrectly .. Whoops!

      Based on the silkscreen reference designator and it having three leads, I think it might have been a TVS diode.

          Whatever ED1 is for a TVS look at ED2. They are probably the same.

                  Board marking "485" so I would say it is a dual TVS for protecting the RS-485 port. ED1 likely same as ED2 "712"
                  Bourns SM712 or Littelfuse SM712 etc.
                  If this is the port you wired wrong.

                      I did not notice it detaching, so I am unsure of its original location on the PCB.

                      - Removed backplate

                      Hi people, I hope this is the correct spot to post this, I'm new to the forum.

                      I have an RTX 3080 Founders Edition which has a burnt up capacitor (it was in parallel with another capacitor which appears damaged too), so I am hoping to be able to identify the capacitor values and order replacements.

                      Dick Smith Q-1760 linear power supply filter capacitor question

                      I have acquired a used Dick Smith Q-1760 power supply - although the OEM is Manson Industrial
                      It has at least one problem.

                      The voltage control potentiometer VR2, 50K is faulty - going high resistance / open circuit in the CCW end and leading to the output voltage jumping around.
                      I have already ordered a replacement potentiometer, so that's not an issue.

                      Now, I want to replace all three electrolytics on the PCB as they are CapXon and I don't trust them so much, I will replace them with something better while I've got the thing apart anyway.

                      SOLVED. I removed the printer in settings, replugged and let it reinstall and it worked this time.

                      Attempt to print and immediately get a Windows pop-up saying "Error printing". The document appears in the printer queue window with Status "Error-printing".

                      Turned off printer. Unplugged, waited, replugged. Ran the Windows troubleshooter. Removed and reinserted toner cartridge. Checked for paper jam. No printer error lights. Reinstalled driver. Restarted the Spooler service. Rebooted...
