Hi all
I am working right now on a Klipsch ProMedia V2-400 amp that I got on Craigslist. As some might know this amp has for each channel an individual amp pcb.
Here is what happened:
I replaced the usual suspects like underrated and non-functional resistors on the DC to DC and Digital Converter. As soon as I turned it on, cap C22 on one of the amp-boards went into smoke.
I assume that this particular board had already a prior issue which killed an underrated resistor (which acted then as fuse) on the DC-DC converter.
Anyways, I disconnected this particular amp-board and amp plays now fine on the remaing 4 channels.
My question:
Can somebody point me please in the right direction what kind of cap this is and what would be an adequate replacement.
