AA and AAA battery charger capacitors?

hey all, iv got my favourite battery charger here which iv had for many years probably 15 years now or maybe even more. it still works good but thought id open it up to clean the dust out of it, lots of dust inside but now its clean and noticed 4 capacitors inside it and wondered if i should replace them.
    it has inside:
    2 x 47uf 16v caps 105c branded as Su'scon (lol sounds sus to me)
    2 x 470uf 16v LZ105c branded as G.Luxon

not heard of these brands are they any good?

iv attached photos of the charger and the board inside for an idea on the type of application these caps are in.

now i do have a pack of new capacitors in stock at home here which are 470uf 16v part number: EKY-160ELL471MH15D purchased from here: https://uk.rs-online.com/web/p/alumi...citors/8118663 branded Nippon Chemi-Con. are these suitable replacements for the ones in the charger? the height of the caps i have seem to be a little taller than the originals but iv checked that there is room in there to fit them.

as for the 47uf caps any ideas on if should replace them if so with what type? iv found a few options here but not sure if they meet specs in ripple, esr etc: https://uk.rs-online.com/web/p/alumi...citors/2244167 and https://uk.rs-online.com/web/p/alumi...citors/2286644

    thanks

    nice design,
the only one that could be stressed is next to the big coil.
if you choose to re-cap it then just use panasonic FR

I already have the KY caps at home here new in a pack of 20 so no need to go out and spend money if they are suitable for use in this application.

as for the 47uf caps can i use these: https://uk.rs-online.com/web/p/alumi...citors/2244167
They are rubycon YXF series 5000h 150ma

suscon SK are standard crap other than being 105'
so YXF is much better anyway.

Excellent with get the rubycons yxf and use them with the ky caps i already have to recap this charger.

I thought suscon are supposed to be half decent maybe on the level of capxon and teapo?

You can also use the automotive type from from the same manufacturer that the “KY,KZE” are from I use these series all the time and not had any issues using them in switching power supply I also some series from
Rubycon as well and the some series that are “FC,FR” from this manufacturer as well it sometimes depends on whether or not one manufacturer has the right size in diameter and height to which series that I use

Are automotive ones cheaper? Any advantage to using them?

Not necessarily cheaper but not necessarily more expensive however they are made to stand up for more heat environment but you do not find all of the UF values like you might might find in other series and other manufacturers and in diameter and length range of sizes

If I know that I am going to used them in a switching power supply and it going to be used in a harsh environment and the UF values are available and the diameter and length are available and the ripple current is nearly the same as let's say like a “KY or a KZE in the same diameter and length size I would buy of some of each UF from the automotive series and KY and KZE sometimes the automotive series do not have the same ESR resistance value as the other series like KY or KZE but if they are close to each other in that respect then I would consider either of them it just depends on the situation of all of specific values that you are dealing with

Thats good to know, any idea what brand and series are automotive caps when it comes to brands like nippon chemicon, nichicon, Panasonic, rubycon etc?

I do not know off the top my head but it not very hard to find if use Dig-key or Mouser because they show what the series are
nippon chemicon LXZ is one of temperature 105*C
nichicon = UBT is one of temperature rated 125*C
rubycon = RX30 is one of temperature rated 130*C
Panasonic =FC is one of temperature rated 105*C

There are few more but I do have have the time to find all of them
However I personally have not use the UBT or the RX30 so I can not comment on these series with how they work in a switching power supply

dont pay any attention to AEC-Q200 certification.
i have seen caps with that rating leak with age many times.
just ask any Honda owner with an OBD1 series ecu!

Thats good to know i thought that certification ment they were leak proof.

Wondering about my charger would polymer caps be suitable substitute or would there be issues?

For example here is a 470uf 16v polymer cap:
                                https://uk.rs-online.com/web/p/polym...citors/7149082
Could i have used that in this charger?
Also i thought polymer is supposed to have higher lifespan? Why is this one 5000h where the electrolytic cap i used is rated at 6000h?

you would need a schematic to know if polymer would be an issue

So far I have not had any issues with using the LXZ series capacitors and I have used a lot of so far for last 3 or 4 years now

The other series I have not used as many capacitors in devices yet so I can not comment on those at for now

I'm working on a Lenovo T460 that has been having trouble charging as of late. Its worked well since I've owned it for a few years. When I went to use it the other day it was dead and wouldn't turn on (was sitting on an Anker 65W GaN charger). After some fiddling with the charger I got it to turn on and start charging, but seemed like the charger was not working as it should (took a few plug and unplug cycles to get it to start charging).

A day later it was dead again and wouldn't boot/charge no matter what I did. No lights or anything when...

Hi, I have a Dell Inspiron 7567 LA-D993P that I've just got running.
There was corrosion around PU1503 which shorted PC1518 & blew PL1504. (Reference pictures attached)
I've replaced PC1518 & PL1504 & the laptop is now running however I now have another issue.

                                      Here are the tested scenarios:

                                      1. With the laptop running on battery, I plug in the 150W charger & the charger shuts off (no LED, protection mode) but the laptop remains running on battery.
