    Identification Problem?

Hi, can anyone give any assistance with this item - having problems finding out what it is as one is burnt out on board.

    looks like id WG9J or W89J ?

Picture not the best but should be ok for id process.

this is from an unbranded 32" lcd tv but matches Technika type and it off the main board L2M08 2008.12.26.

    any assistance would be great.

      Re: Identification Problem?

If you search for the SMD code "G9" in here instead of WG9J, you'll get 9 different products but only one of them has 3 pins, which is of type BF 767, manufacturer is either Siemens or Philips.

Then if you go and search for BF767 in this page, you will indeed find Siemens and Philips datasheets for BF767.

This Philips one for example, which is a PNP Silicon Planar Transistor BTW, is indeed used in TV tuners:

          Re: Identification Problem?

it is definitely WG9J and definitely some kind of planar surface-mount transistor

if it was me, I would replace every electrolytic cap in this TV, those transistors don't burn for no reason!

Well I am slightly confused, when trying to locate to order some of these the identification is not showing up, can find some types but unsure of the values needed any pointers from the technically minded at badcaps?

post high resolution photos of the board, often times problems like bad capacitors will be obvious

you need to post these questions to the badcaps TV subforum - that is where the TV gurus are on here!

                                by courtcircuit
                                Hello

I have since a long time a Philips HTS8010S/01 which has been old but was doing the job.

Since a few days, it starts by making a weird "static" nois when switches on for a few seconds to a minute and then works like a charm.
Noise loudly outputs from the 3 channels, even if no signal is sent by the controler.DVD to the subwoofer/amp unit.

I was thinking of a soldering that was starting to be damaged and that was only doing the job after a few seconds of heating, most probbaly on the power board
                                Removed each of tyhe boards
                                ...

                                1. Problem: It started with random picture disappearing (sound still worked).
Frequency: Happened about once a week.
Solution: Had to turn off TV wait a few seconds before turning it on again.
                                2. Problem: Then it got worse and the TV started to shut down and when turning on the no picture just sound.
Frequency: Happened about once a week.

                                Hello
I have a Philips 58PUS8545 which have a vertical moving lines on screen and it is flashing white vertical lines like a every 3-4 seconds.
                                See the attached image.

I removed left side flex-cable from the t-con and then there was half screen sharp and correct image and other half was white.
But when I removed the right side flex-cable then half of the screen was white but other half was white and above the white there was vertical lines on half of the screen.

T-con two flex-cables have been changed to cross but nothing changed, so it is not due those...

I bought a Philips TV model: 65PUS6262/12 Used.
The seller was selling it as not working well. It was almost free.
I want to fix the TV in some way.

Namely.. A very interesting error, but very rare.
The TV turns on and works. I can go to the menu, open smart applications, etc.
From the very beginning, the graphics were somewhat strange to me... I'm talking about the menu graphics, etc..
When I want to start the Youtube application, there is a sound but the picture is green! no movement nothing can be seen!
