    Bulged JEE cap from MS Industrial KYP-350 PSU.


    Output voltages were low and decreased even more under load (5V down to around 3V and 12V to 7V) and there was hissing sound coming from inside - the TL494 chip was bad.

    Can you get us a pic of the vent on the top of the cap? It looks like a "k" from that angle.

      they have rubycon lookalike vents.ala rulycon.

        Yes, it's K. The big 2200uF ones have K vents too. They're black so they can be confused with Rubycons if you don't see the brand.
