    varistors

Hi guys, i have a circuit board with a blown znr varistor,
the markings on it says 14k471u S45

so far i can only work out the 14 = diametre and 471 is the capping voltage.
I'm not sure with that U stands for or the S45

i couldn't find this at farnell or rsaustralia.

does any one know where i can get my hands one of these varistors.

The manufacturer logo is a square with the letter M inside.

    thanks.

14D471K $.80 from WES that will work, it will blow at 300 volts AC
OR maybe 14D431K that will blow at 275v. I take it its just in the primary of of a psu ?

          Re: varistors

If you use an AC varistor you put it across the line. If you use the 275v one you need two and you put them across each primary cap.

How can I identify varistor which have been blew up?
            by chth96
I mistakely pluged 100v japanese retro game console to 220v outlet.
So It seems that glass fuse and varistor have been blew up.
I can identify that voltage and ampere value of glass fuse(250V LF 1.6A),but It is impossible to identify varistor type in my sega saturn PSU(YAMAHA 35M07U XR258)
Is there any way to identify varistor type in my sega saturn PSU?
            Any reply would be appreciated.

            EDIT:
It seems that I finally found out what type this black varistor is. It is Panasonic ERZV05D221 “ZNR” Transient/Surge Absorbers (Type D) Varistor Voltage...

LG UH652T doesn't turn on and stands is blinking once a second
            by mar1in
            Hi everyone,

I've got this LG TV here that wouldn't turn on and be stuck in a standby loop (blinking red once every other second).
            Did test the following:

            * LED's seem fine as they all light up using LED Tester
            * Power Supply supplied around 111V for each LED Strips (2x edge lid strips)
            * PWR_ON would be at around 3V but dropping every other second (just like the standby light)
            * DRV_ON is doing the same
            * power supply has a green LED onboard, but that doesn't seem to do anything (stays off the whole time).
            * there is a tiny clicking...

Xiaomi router freezes at boot after re-capping
            by hinisa
I'm using Xiaomi Router 4A gigabit edition as wireless repeater. It worked fine for 2 years or so, but last week, wireless started to disappear.

When I unplug/replug the power, it was working fine for a day/half a day or so until it freezes again.

After testing with different power supply adapters and concluding it wasn't the issue I finally opened the case and this was the situation:

Anyway I proceed to clean up the mess and replace all caps but unfortunately it made the situation worse. Now router can't even boot, either it freezes during...
