    Handy Dandy comparison chart

Courtesy of Teapo. Can't find it on their website anymore, but found it on my hard drive the other day.

Includes Teapo, G-Luxon, Nichicon, Rubycon, Panasonic, NCC/UCC, Capxon, OST, Lelon, Ltec, Elite, Elna, and Samxon. I'm sure not all series are represented, so feel free to add any.

You'll never get all the crap brands but should at least include all the good brands.

To be there you are missing at least Sanyo/Suncon, Hitano and NIC Components.

Also Cornell-Dubilier, Illinois Capacitor, Vishay, Siemens, Mallory and Xicon are good brands and have at least some in the ESR/Ripple ranges in your list.

I didn't make this, Teapo did. It is missing a lot of series especially from Panasonic. Feel free to post other manufacturers and series and what they are comparable (such as saying they are comparable to teapo ___ series, so they people can just find that and see what else it is comparable to)

Umm,,,, You'd better check it then.
Low end mfrs have some wild ideas about what is comparable to what.

Yanz did some comparison charts some 2 years ago:

              https://www.badcaps.net/forum/showthread.php?t=1822

Look at Post 54. Several image files of them there.

There are several missing by what I gather. I've PM'd him to see if he has the missing ones.

How about abbreviating the chart to mainly cover series recommended for new applications, such as Chemi-Con KY replacing series which are equivalent or lower spec?

                  Hi folks,

I have a couple of IBM NetVista desktop computers from around 2000-2001. They have Universal Scientific Industrial (USI) Pro286i motherboards, 733MHz Pentium III processors, and a whole bunch of bad Teapo capacitors. One board has visibly bad and venting capacitors, while the other doesn't look too bad so far.

The board with venting caps works fine, while the good looking board occasionally refuses to power on unless it's left for about 30 seconds after connecting the power - even with a known good power supply. (I am however aware I'll need to check the PSU...

I have been given a metex ms 2000 handyscope to use for fault finding.

It works but the 30 year old battery pack is no good, i have purchased the new correct batteries, tryed to put it all back together but couldnt get get continuity between the four 1.2v batteries, upon checking one of the components, a thermal fuse has blown i think.

now the issue is that I dont know what the part is, how to work out what it is and were to buy the components.

Im looking forward to getting it going so if anyone could help that would brilliant, and would certainly make my...

Looking for a GPU power sequence chart
                  by dicky96
                  Hi guys
Does anyone have a chart (pdf. whatever) that shows the power sequence for all the common series of AMD and Nvidea GPUs? Or maybe a chart for each manufacturer?

Something like this I have for RX400-500 series (see attached). This looks to be a segment from a document that possibly had all the different GPU families

I put this in this forum section as it is not s schematic request though it is kinda related

                  TIA
