    Badly faked pannies

I pulled these caps of an MX400 video card and replaced them with sanyo WG. They are clearly fakes. Note the K-vents. Also, NHG series are not suited to this application. At least the rubber seal is correct. The worrying thing is, though, the soldering looked professional, suggesting that the manufacturer of the card used them.

The MX400 is a fairly old card. The brand of the card is GTF, if the heatsink is anything to go by.

I'll hang on to the card, but the old caps can get exploded.

Wow that's bad. Usually semi-big manufacturers won't do that crap.

That might be a resleeved Rubycon. I have a Rubycon cap that has the same bung design.

                  Microwave reacts badly to fat
                  by Curious808
Microwave seems to react badly to anything fatty. At the mildest, the time display starts flickering. Sometimes, it resets, the display goes black and the remaining time is gone. Sometimes it zaps and crackles. Symptoms seem to be worse depending on how fatty the food is. Goes wild, dimming from about the first second of trying to reheat a strip of precooked bacon. A precooked meatball causes occasional dimming. It works just fine with no-fat foods.

Started a couple of weeks ago when I put in a small raw porkchop. After a few seconds, the unit started spitting and zapping, and I...

Here is my original bin file, as well as how the BIOS chip looks like

My situation is if I press my laptop power on, fan turns on for the first five seconds and turns off, no display (not even acer), but power indicator is on, and the CPU gets warm, even caught one time if powered on for long (before an hour) the fan turns on again, is it only right that I'm approaching via BIOS?

Before I got into this situation, I was just watching movies, and while turned on, pressed the battery reset button and cleaned...
