Well, I didn't yet worked on these newer macs, but i can see that you don't have 5V anywhere. Are there components on the other side of the board?
Try to measure resistances on the caps that have 0V.

Thanks I think you are spot on when you spotted that I dont have any 5V but I have problem to find out where the 5V supply is on the PCB.

Did you measure what i told you in post #2?
Aldo measure voltages on all the coils. The coils next to a 3.3V coil is the 5V coil. Then check the mosfets near it.

I think I have found one of the problems, there is a chip (TPS51125) that makes 3.3V and 5V and this only produce the 3.3V. So I have ordered a new one and hope this will make the macbook happy

That chip doesn't make 3.3 nor 5 V. It can control the components that do.

Also are you sure that the chips output is 3.3V not the input?

Iam not sure. Here is a schematic of this chip. I mesured (12.38V on VIN) and (3.3V on V02) and (0V on V01) is V01 the output of 5V?
              I mesured (4.99V at VREG5)

Here is the datasheet for your chip. VREG5 is the 5V output.

This is the explanation for the VO1 and VO2 (page 6):
Output connection to SMPS. These terminals work as fixed voltage inputs and output discharge inputs. VO1 and VO2 also work as 5 V and 3.3 V switch over return power input respectively.

I had a MacBook Pro that wouldn't show any charging led or power on. I used a light prober on the board to see how far power was flowing through to the end of the board. Turned out power would stop at the charge board at a very specific small doohickey. Cleaned the thing very carefully and it now the laptop works perfectly.

So, my advise is to use a light prober and see which areas on the board are receiving power and go from there.

                        At spatimouth

Do you still remember what spot/part that was.
Because i have the same macbook it also will not charge the battery.

                        All the fuses are good.

Any help and or advice is welcome

                        thanks in advance.

5v will be there after swtiching on. first try flashing bios, then check EC.

what is your macbook mainboard code?

i have one 2008 c2d and one i7 working, so maybe mainboard i have here is one same as yours.

                                      Hi
Always the first steps would be to ultra sonic cleaning board 65C with A1 cleaner then put by dehumidifier to dry most likely corrosion from spill go's under chips where you can't see it ...if you don't have a ultra sonic cleaner i would invest paided for mine in the first two mac books years ago. look at crest model's
