I have a hp prodesk 400 g6 mini with locked bios.
trying to unlock the bios but still stuck at the first steps.
I got a CH341A programmer and a SOIC8 clip.
The bios chip was not detected by neither neoprogrammer nor asprogrammer , and I could not find the chip model on their "supported chips" list.

I am trying to remove a BIOS password from this machine:

but so far I still have no success.
I bought [B]CH341 programmer[/B] and decided to give it a try.

The programmer came with [B]8 pin [/B]cables and connectors or whatever everything else is called so I had to buy a new [B]16 pin cable[/B] because the chip which I think is the BIOS is with [B]16 pins[/B]..

Hey, I'm Fred from Ontario, Canada. Picked up an HP Prodesk 400 G6 small factor mini-computer at an auction. Got a great deal on it. It works great but unfortunately, the BIOS has password. Started Googling. Found badcaps. Here we go...

Please excuse me, but another HP Prodesk 400 G6 won't boot also.
It happened after a severe thunderstorm and lightning strike.
The symptoms are as follows - 5 long red beeps and 7 short white beeps. As I understand it, this means that the firmware of the BIOS chip is faulty.
