Tried the prcedure twice, sadly still the same... Is there a difference between supervisor and boot password for patching? Because it seems that it's the boot password on the machine.... -
Hi,
for me, it doesn't work. BIN is patched, everything seems to work but as soon as I flash back the original dump, I still have the password. Any ideas what I did wrong?
Both files attached. Machine is a ThinkPad T450s 20BX-000XGE SN PC-04QAV8

The story is that I got around 10 of these tablets working, but with a BIOS password and one without, so I just wanted to flash the dump of the unlocked one to the others. Devices are all identical. I tried flashing the dump on two tablets already, they won't boot. And if I solder their chip to the one where the dump originally came from, the screen also stays black....Leave a comment:

Asus T103HAF BIOS flashed to a new chip not working
Hi,
I have an issue with this Laptop. It works with the BIOS attached. But when I flash this BIN to another Chip of the same type and solder it to the device, it won't come on. Power LED is blinking and webcam light turns on. Is it possible that the BIOS is connected to the Chip ID and is there any way to bypass? Thanks a lot!... -
Thanks, interesting would be where exactly the gates get powered from. In my case, also the pads burnt off from the board and my solution right now looks like this. It turns on now, but my USB Meter now shows 19,8V And gate Voltage on both FETs is 21V, VGS measures exactly these 1,2V which is still too low and causes them to heat up quickly....

has anyone schematics and boarview for this? Both USB-C power input Mosfets are blown due to low gate voltage and some components on the back side desoldered themselves from heat.

Hi, any solution? Got the exact same issue. There's absolutely no measurable short on the board, no powerline, no mosfet, no cap, nothing.
Owner told, he wasn't able to turn it off anymore. As soon as he took out the battery, it never turned on again, if this is some hint.
Injecting 3.3V into VREG3 takes 1mA what looks good, but injecting 5V into VREG5 shows 25mA what looks high to me, for a machine that's turned off.
Any ideas?

Hi,
got a W540 in which crashed during an update, only beeps. I wasted the last hours, trying to fix it by myself (There's even a good tutorial on YT) but failed, symptoms are still the same. Attached are the dumps of both chips, model is Lenovo W540 Type 20BH-S0WP00 SN.# R9-00KVWX.
I would be grateful, if someone more experienced could have a look on this.

Tongfang GM7RG7N BIOS Admin Password
Hi,
got this Laptop here with a BIOS Admin passord set, only user (read-only) password is known.
I tried this AMIdecryptors already, no luck. When flashing a new BIOS BIN I got from the distributor, display remains black, possibly EC mismatch but I can not find it's BIN.
Dump attached. Maybe someone could help me removing the password?

I can't see myself out with this model. Issue is a black screen, I tried to flash 4 different BIOS BINs already. Obviously this model was sold with many different specification, original ACER BIOS also contains four different versions.
The one I need is:
