Hi, I'm Erik and I'm from Boston. I don't really have any formal training, my father was Paul Swanson, who when I was about 2 made Nite Lite bulletin board systems, which was like internet in 1985 and he'd build the phone modems in our basement, soldering the chips to boards he'd get through Radio Shack he called Lantek. I'd screw the screws into the plastic cases he had for them and put the Lantek sticker on them, earning my 10 cents each modem that I never got. I loved spending time learning the process when I could. Since then, I've gone through school for A+ I worked for Asurion at AT&T and got about 100 certs there for Samsung and iPhones replacing screens and batteries, nothing too hard. All of the programming and difficult stuff I go nuts in my basement now learning on my own and I've always really needed a place like this to find help as I have no friends with similar interests. Or friends for that matter. I'm also a metalhead very into music, I play the guitar and piano, but I could make any instrument play some kind of song. I'm trying to figure out how to fix a macbook pro at the moment and also an eScooter that I locked by accident.
Hi, greetings from Mexico, Im Aldo, electronics engineer and self taught computer repair, I've been doing board repair for 5 years and always watching new videos on YouTube.
Hello, not too much to say about myself. I am a retired electronics engineer, was with the company for 28 years. Myself and the fellow I worked with would service equipment like VCRs, TVs, TV cameras, lighting gear, and so on. Now that I have retired, I get the odd jobs to repair equipment for friends and family.
