I don't really have any formal training, my father was Paul Swanson, who when I was about 2 made Nite Lite bulletin board systems, which was like internet in 1985 and he'd build the phone modems in our basement, soldering the chips to boards he'd get through Radio Shack he called Lantek. I'd screw the screws into the plastic cases he had for them and put the Lantek sticker on them, earning my 10 cents each modem that I never got.
