I guess I'll throw my 2 cents worth in the mix lol I don't have any degrees but I have a vast knowledge of electronics by hands on experience. My first system was the TRS80 from Radio Shack with a hard drive that consisted of a tape recorder I work on TVs and computers religiously and I love tinkering with things. I hope i can find help with my addiction of fixing stuff here in this forum.Good day to all

Hello, I'm hoping to save my 3 year old Samsung LED by tapping into some incredible minds. Crossing my fingers and hoping to be a hero to my wife and kids (although, it has been nice to not have the kids glued to the television). Thanks everyone in advance!

Hi everyone! Gavin from Canada here. What a great site. Found it looking for solutions to repairing a RCA TV and the advice is great. Been a HVAC technician for 18 years and fixed my first item (mom's toaster) at 14 years old. Oh, as the first post set the tone, my first PC was a $1,100 clone 386... Windows 4.1

Have been fixing the big stuff for years (cars, motorcycles, HVAC controls and equipment) but always wanted to do component level repairs. With YouTube and this site I'm sure I'll get there. Pass the LCR meter...

                                    Hi to all members!
I'm Larry Garcia a new member retired at 59 years old after 30 years in the oil and gas industry.
Now that I have plenty of time fixing things around the house I will need all the help I can get from the experts here specifically on electronic stuffs.

To start-off my 70" sharp tv is acting up with the backlight turning "on" only in a flash then went to black screen. I was thinking a power supply module issue.

Hopefully I can discuss the problem in details later on.
Anyways, thanks for the warm welcome.

Hello I'm Rick kinda new to all this but I do have a diagnostic back ground more so in the automotive business but all in all it's pretty much taking readings & reporting back until you find a problem but in reading a lot of these treads & doing some of my own research I see you can't always find the schematics you might be looking for. So I'm hear cause this is the best forum I've found that people actually sound like they know what they are doing. Excellent group of guy's here looking to learn a little bit more from everyone!
                                      Thank you. Rick
