Hello,
I came here to learn about UEFI structure and tools to edit dump.
It is my first time trying this.
I want to learn this in order to unlock an UNOWHY laptop (model: Y13G010S4EI, sn: IFP045001537,bios version: V0.5.0_P1S0M2E0F3L6B0T0P2G00A0U0D601_ENE, motherboard model: MG133(EM_IG116_366B_ENE_V2.0), bios date: 10/28/2020, Motherboard : EM_IG116_200b_ene_F_V1.0. )which I bought. Initially it was unlocked but no USB was functional (Unknown USB device - Port reset failure), so I've decided to restore factory settings. This decision took me to unknown UEFI land.
I have managed to read the UEFI BIOS and now I"m trying to understand it in order to bypass the password.
Thanks in advance for your help !!!Comment

Hi everyone,
My name is Misha. I'm originally from Ukraine and currently living in Prague, Czech Republic. I'm interested in motherboard-level repair, especially laptops. I'm still learning a lot, but I'm actively working with power circuits, BGA chips, and using boardview files and schematics for diagnostics.
I often deal with laptops that won't turn on, and I use tools like multimeters, hot air stations, and sometimes Arduino for testing. I'm currently building a laptop power tester prototype. I also use forums and datasheets a lot to learn how specific chips work — for example, Vcore controllers and power sequencing chips.
I joined Badcaps.net because it seems like a great place to learn from experienced techs and maybe share my own findings in the future.
Thanks for having me!Comment

Hello everyone, I'm Kabir.
After encountering a slew of Chengs, Chongs, Chings, and Changs in various power supplies, my capacitor adventures eventually led me to this blessed forum. I've been tinkering with electronics for a while from SMPS repairs to capacitor reforming and I look forward to learning and sharing with the community here. Glad to be on board!Comment

I'm imhOTEB, like the mummy, but with a "B" at the end. I like electronics and am just starting out in this world as a self-taught person, although I'm actually a programming technician. I'm from Argentina, so please excuse me if I don't speak English very well. I found this page because I need a laptop and remembered I have one that doesn't work, so I'm looking for a schematic to try to fix it.Comment
