Copy that, thanks.
Regarding stacking the two smd capacitors, would heat dissipation be an issue? Do they even get warm? I'm thinking not since they don't have a power rating. Any other reasons not to do it?

Got it, thanks! I also just learned if you search for a component, clicking on it will tell you if it is on the top or bottom, at least on the Dell 5520 schematic.
One follow up question. Is there any way to superimpose the bottom view on the top view, maybe with a different color) so you can see how components line up?Leave a comment:

Fried capacitor on Dell-5520. Guilty as charged.
While installing new SSD's in my new to me Dell 5520 laptop, I dropped a screw which sparked and fried a capacitor. Yes, I know I should have disconnecte the battery first Doh!😡. The laptop runs fine, but I want to replace the capacitor asap. I ordered and received the replacement (10uF, 25V 0603). Since I also managed to burn up one of the pads it was soldered to, my main question is whether it is okay to solder this capacitor on top of another capacitor (same size, same function in circuit). Specifically, PC4428 is bad and no way to easily solder to the board. I would like to solder it piggy...

Do contemporary motherboards generally have components on both sides?
I am repairing a Dell-5520. I haven't removed the MOBO yet, but was wondering if they are typically double sided with surface munt components on each side? I found the GR Board View File, and using FlexBV5, haven't figured out how to display the bottom side (assuming there is one).
