New member here, just looking for a solution to recover my data from an M1 MacBook Pro (2021).
I'm the owner, but due to a strange bug, I couldn't update my Mac—it kept telling me I'm not the admin. I tried resetting my password, and then catastrophe: it deactivated my Mac.
The issue is that I know my Apple ID, but in recovery mode, it's asking me to select an admin user—and guess what? No user shows up. So now I'm stuck

Hey friend. bit of info for you about bitlocker recovery. you do not need to repair the computer to use the bitlocker recovery key.

The key is easily obtained by logging into the microsoft portal and going to the "Devices" and 'Manage Devices" area and then click on one of the devices and click "View Bitlocker Keys". You can then copy the key to a text file or clipboard and if you plug the drive in from the other computer or laptop, it will show up as bitlocked. you can then double clock on the drive and it will pop up with a prompt to enter the bitlocker key. once you enter the key, the drive will remain unlocked and you can easily access the data.

There is no need to repair the original laptop or mainboard as the key is locked to the drive itself. sure, you can repair it if you want to repair it but it is not needed to access the bitlocked data.

            Hope this helps!!

Hi to all from the Netherlands. It seems I am new here, although I have probably been here before. Anyway, I watched Nathan from Parts-People visit the forum and decided it is time to have a better look at opportunities to give to this community and perhaps gain something too. I have a background in electrical engineering and am currently employed as principal engineer at a semiconductor equipment manufacturer. In my spare time I enjoy working on repair, reverse engineering and design.

Hi all, not a laptop repair professional, but the necessity to restore the SVP to my own laptop which I set and lost record of brought me here. Yep I procured CH341A and then Vertyanov to this sole end, gradually getting deeper into the stuff. Cheers!

Hi, I'm from Slovakia and I have managed to brick my laptop by using "Smokeless UMAF" to edit some hidden options

I was trying to disable 4G decoding and resizable BAR in order to get CSMwrap working (an UEFI application to get seabios as CSM on UEFI only devices), in order to run Windows 98 natively lol... The laptop is Asus G14 with RTX 4090, that makes it funnier i guess

Anyway, I like doing weird things like that

                                      Have a nice day
