Hello everyone! I am an undergraduate student from China. It might sound strange, but I stumbled my way to this website. My English proficiency is quite limited, and this self-introduction is generated through translation software. If there are any errors or inappropriate expressions, please feel free to point them out—it would greatly help improve my English.
To get to the point: I am a Biomedical Engineering major. The only reason I joined this forum is that my laptop suddenly "committed suicide" one day. It had malfunctioned twice during the warranty period and broke down again a few months after the warranty expired. The repair cost now exceeds its actual value. I've already purchased a new laptop to replace it, but I don't want to simply discard this old companion that's been with me for over three years. That's why I came here—to learn some repair techniques and try to revive my old buddy.
Honestly, I'm not holding out much hope of fixing it. My current skill level only allows me to perform basic repairs on medical devices or assemble a mediocre oscilloscope. Repairing a laptop is entirely uncharted territory for me.
Anyway, greetings again to everyone, and wish me luck!
