    Hello:)

    Hello,

I just joined your site. I tinker with LCD monitors and computers. I recently got my A+ Certification. Hasn't helped finding a job lately, but I'll keep trying! I'm still learning about all that is an LCD monitor. I've seen your site mentioned a lot in reference to bad caps. CrapXOn, etc. I don't have any more to post right now, but hope to learn all I can from having my new found access to this very cool site!

    Take Care

Artist seeking to tinker with electronics safely
    by Hypersapien
Howdy folks! I'm an artist in the video game industry, and my job entails making a lot of mechanical and sci fi assets. I thought it might be a good practice to start disassembling some electronics to be more familiar with how real electronics are manufactured and assembled, which is how i found my way to these forums.

When I started researching what tools I might need, I quickly encountered the warning "Some devices can maintain a potentially lethal charge in their capacitors, even up to years after last being powered on", which was enough of a scary thought for me to...

You know what pisses me off? Finding CapXon in the wild.
    by Justin_D33
It doesn't matter the series - GL, KF, LX, PD, I don't care. If I see CapXon in anything, my instinct is always "get it out of there". Even if it "looks fine". They should be ashamed of themselves. CapXon = CrapXon (rightfully memed).

    Intel NUC8i3BEH BIOS+EC
    by Inverteddragonx
Hi, I'm looking for a BIOS and EC chip for my Intel NUC8i3BEH (motherboard model NUC8i3BEB). I received a faulty unit and am trying to repair it. The previous owner tried to tinker with it and erased the BIOS and EC chips, and I've been struggling with this for several hours (I'm a complete novice at this). I managed to rebuild the BIOS from the NUC8i7BEH, but the unit still doesn't respond to the power button. The board seems to be receiving power normally, as the green LED next to the SATA connector is lit. I would really appreciate if you could check if I rebuilt the bios correctly and provide...

Sansui Integrated Amplifier replacement volume control troubles
    by Coert van Dorsten
Hi all you clever electronmic gooroos!

I was wondering if you could help me with the below issues Im having on a Sansui Integrated amplifier. I bought this unit as a project to repair as Im playing around with basic electromics. The unit has a faulty volume control pot. The service maual refers to a 150K Logarithmic pot (A) tapered stereo. Im struggling to find this value. Seem to be a jump from 100K to 250K. Im now trying a 250K pot. It works but the problem is that as the volume is turned up from starting at Min the Left channel will come on first just slightly before the Right...
