The previous owner tried to tinker with it and erased the BIOS and EC chips, and I've been struggling with this for several hours (I'm a complete novice at this). Did you manage to solve this problem? I have exactly same issue. I've been gifted broken nuc8i3beh/nuc8i3beb and previous owner tried to repair it himself and deleted both BIOS and EC. I did build BIOS file but without EC device is not reacting to power button.
