    Vizio M470NV Tuning issue

When I run the auto-tune, the channel list shows a few channels with no information. Scanning through the channles works fine until selecting one of these channels. Then none of the channels will display until power is cycled. I am thinking a tuner issue which appears to be on the main board.

if you are tuning over the air channels, do you have another antenna to try it with?

Just the one. It is new, has both the extendable ears and a loop.

does seem strange, did you try a firmware update?

Not yet. I just picked up the TV second hand. I will try to get an update to the firmware. As you said, just odd that selecting a few particular channels would result in all the channels unaccessable.
Basically, I can be on a working channel, select the next channel which seem to try to sync, then nothing. When I switch back to the good channel, I eventually get a message "Channel Not Available". Power cycle and that channel will come back up.

try unplug tv for a few minutes, press and hold power button on tv for 30 seconds, plug back in and retry, can also try a factory reset. Might be in menu-system-reset or some such.

Yep, tried all that. Also disconnected the antenna, scanned, then reconnected and scanned again. When I tune to one of the faulty channels, the show comes up, then freezes on the scene. Then when switching to the next channel, all channels are blank. Has to be the tuner/main board.
Not sure it is worth the cost, but only paid $75 for the set, has a greaat picture and I tend to like to fix things rather than throw them out.

                Vizio m601d-a3 backlight issue
                by Mectronik
Hello, I'm working on a Vizio m601d-a3 with a backlight issue that I am having a difficulty diagnosing it. As it sits, the tv powers on, displays the Vizio symbol and with nothing hooked up it will then display no signal but you can only see half of the screen. I know it's a back light issue because the picture is there without light behind it, as I can see it by doing a light test. I've taken off the paneling and done a visual inspection. If I disconnect the tcon ribbon cable to the affected side then the entire half of the screen goes away. I've checked voltages at the LED driver from the main...

                Vizio P759-G1, Tcon issue?
                by EazyBone
Got this TV free. Guy said it tries to turn on and doesn't. I haven't seen this specific issue before but shown in video. Any way to test the screen to rule it out on these Vizio? Or anyone seen this issue before?

                Any help appreciated

                Vizio E65-E1 strange image issue
                by remmurdmd
Hi everyone. First new thread here. I picked up a TV on the side of the road. It appears to function correctly with the exception of an image issue I'm unable to describe. I've searched for “double picture” and “double image” all over the web and all I get is repair videos for when the picture is blurry and the connections are getting interference between the display panels and the t-con board. I believe this is a t-con board issue, but I haven't found anything telling me conclusively that this is where my issue is. I'd appreciate any assistance you can provide. I live a pretty busy life...

                Issue with 42 Vizio TV
                by derrickcaputo
                Hello,
I have a 42" Vizio TV. I hooked my tablet to the HDMI inputs. Everything was fine until the screen went black and now the only input that works on the TV is coax. No hdmi, no component, no rca. I tried hooking up a laptop to the Hdmi port and the computer
detected the TV model but no image.

Is there anyone having the same issue? Did you find any solution?

                Interesting E60-E3 (Vizio) issue
                by bscottjohnston
                Good morning BadCappers,

I picked up a Vizio E60-E3 yesterday. The donator claimed that it never powered on and that he checked Voltages at the power supply. I checked a handful of Voltages and then laughed when I realized I was trying to turn it on via the menu button on the back of the TV when its upside down on my TV repair bed (literally my guest bedroom).

Okay so I took out the mainboard and decided to flux up the BGA and heat it up. Upon reinstall of the mainboard the TV does indeed power up but all of the screens have a blue hue AND the video displayed fails...
